In task manager, go to details and right-click Terraria -> Set affinity. You can select which process uses which cores. If it doesn't work, try Universal Split Screen. It has some tricks that will force focus.

One reason the performance may be bad is that all the instances are running on the first cpu core. On Windows you can try setting the CPU affinity for each terraria instance: ctrl+shift+esc to open task manager, go to more details then the Details tab. Find the Terraria.exe(or something)...

Do you have any anti-virus programs that might be blocking Terraria or the mod? When it works, the next menu will popup immediately after holding any three keys.

This is normal if you click No on the Lock Mouse? menu. The last player will have to click Yes on the Lock Mouse? menu, and once they have attached their mouse everyone's window will start working.

Hopefully this is fixed in 2.0.1 :) Do you have any anti-virus programs that might be blocking the mod from running? If you do, try adding an exception. Also on the main menu, when you press F6 does the window borders toggle? If they don't, the mod must not have loaded correctly.

Are you hosting/connecting to a server? If you start a singleplayer world, the menu will not open.

Try disabling the mod, then hosting the server on one window and connecting on another window. (The IP should be saved now). Close both, enable the mod, close again. Now the normal instructions should work :)

When you enable the mod, try exiting the game and re-launching. Reloading seems to cause some bugs.

In the settings menu for each terraria instance, make sure multithreaded lighting is set to the maximum it can be. In Task Manager(Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open) -> Details, you can set the priority for each Terraria instance to High. Also, in Task Manager -> Performance -> CPU -> Right click...

Works fine on windows 10 from all my testing. It uses specific windows libraries so it will definitely not work on linux/mac.
