You're right with classes, but with races it's very much up to personal preference, personally I like skeleton best for melee, but it's up to you.

no. Maybe because he's rebuilding the mod from scratch, so they when you play the new version it won't be riddled with game-breaking bugs. Also, some of the races in previous versions are going to be reimplimented... eventually.

It depends on what gamemode you're playing, in freemode on an expert mode world it'll ruin your progression due to everything one hitting you, but you also one hit everything back haha
