An option in video settings for the frame skip toggles being "extra subtle" so that it always behaves as having frame skip "on" but it only slows down the game when your framerate goes below 30fps instead of slowing down below 60/50 frames like the normal frame skip "off" and "subtle"
When jitter clicking or using other methods for a fast clicking the game framerate goes from 60 to 50/45 frames and goes back to normal instantly after you stop clicking fast.
Pretty self-explanatory, damage numbers are essential and helpful to see the literal damage you're dealing to enemies, especially in early game - but during late game damage the numbers end up showing bigger and more faster numbers thus obstructing smaller enemies and/or projectiles screen. so...
