I've never used any mods, texture packs or add-on programs.

Yes, I've verified the game cache many of times. Though it doesn't seem to work. If verifying the game cache doesn't work, is there any way to fix this??

This doesn't always happen, but every time I open Terraria and go into any world, random items will sometimes disappear. Not sure if anyone else has posted anything about this invisible item bug. Note: If Terraria is still running, exiting a world and reopening a world will not fix this bug...
