PC 1.3 Achievement Suggestions!

Here’s my ideas for achievements thus far. Not in any particular order, but grouped based on the kind of achievements. Some of them might be copyrighted quotes, but heck if I don’t like stupid puns and cheesy lines, so I’ll put them here anyways. for the Boss Progression and Death achievements, I’m sure I’m missing stuff, but it’s probably already ridiculously long as-is, so I’ll leave it at this… for now.


Basic/Tutorial Achievements
Achievements to point new players in the right direction for progression.
  • Dig! Explore! Build! - Ask the Guide for Help!
  • Nice Place You Got Here - Have an NPC move into one of your buildings.
  • OM NOM NOM - Get a buff from eating food
  • Beer Me - Make a beer with the Keg
  • Amateur Alchemist - Craft a potion
  • Accessorize - Fill all of your Accessory slots
  • A Matching Set - Get a set bonus from your armor
  • Da Na Na NAAAA! - Loot a Chest
  • Home Sweet Home - Set a Bed Spawn Point
  • Watch Your Fingers - Craft a Sawmill
  • The Weave And The Way - Craft a Loom
  • Forging Ahead - Forge an Iron/Lead/Silver/Tungsten Weapon or Armor
  • Wait, This Works? - Forge a Gold/Platinum Weapon
  • Quenched in Blood - Forge a Crimtane Weapon or Armor
  • One With The Shadows - Forge a Demonite Weapon or Armor

Special Boss Achievements
Achievements for gimmicky victories against the various bosses in the world.
  • Eye For an Eye - Kill the Eye of Cthulu 0:10 before or after dying yourself.
  • Off With His Head - Kill Skeletron without destroying either of his arms.
  • Brain Freeze - Kill the Brain of Cthulu while it has the Frostburn debuff
  • The Head of the Serpent - Kill the Eater of Worlds without it ever becoming more than one worm.
  • Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny - Kill The Destroyer, The Twins and Skeletron Prime within 0:30 of one another.
    • USoUD Alt - Summon The Destroyer, The Twins, Skeletron Prime, and a Moon Event in the same night and defeat them all.
  • When You Wish Upon A Star - Kill any Boss with the Starfury
  • Use the Phase, Duke - Kill Duke Fishron with a Phase Saber.
  • For the Swarm - Kill any Hard Mode Boss with Summoned Minions.

(Hardcore) Boss Completion
Could make these a progression marker for Hardcore Mode, or have two seperate lines for non-hardcore and hardcore progressions.
  • My Eyes! - Defeat the Eye of Cthulu!
  • Tremors - Defeat the Eater of Worlds!
  • Brainy Beatdown - Defeat the Brain of Cthulu!
  • Controlled Lunacy - Survive a Blood Moon!
  • King Me - Defeat a King Slime!
  • So Many Spike Balls... - Defeat a Goblin Invasion!
  • BEES! - Defeat Queen Bee!
  • Tear Down This Wall - Defeat the Wall of Flesh!
  • Destroy! Destroy! Destroy! - Defeat the Destroyer!
  • The Goggles Do Nothing! - Defeat the Twins!
  • Transform and Skull Out - Defeat Skeletron Prime!
  • Raise the Jolly Roger! - Defeat a Pirate Invasion!
  • The Great Jungle Trendkill - Defeat Plantera!
  • Monster Mash - Survive a Solar Eclipse!
  • Temple of DOOM - Defeat the Golem!
  • Jumping the Sharknado - Defeat Duke Fishron!
  • Weeping Willow - Defeat a Mourning Wood!
  • Pumpking Pie - Defeat a Pumpking!
  • All Hallows Achieve! - Complete all waves of the Frost Moon Event!
  • O Tannenbaum - Defeat an Everscream!
  • Now I Have a Machine Gun - Defeat a Santa NK-1!
  • Defrosting the Ice Queen - Defeat the Ice Queen!
  • Silent Night - Complete all waves of the Frost Moon Event!
  • Hardcore? More Like hard-BORE! - Unlock all Hardcore Boss Completion achievements!

(Hardcore) Deaths
A consolation prize for dying in hardcore mode - achievements! Or to not make the completionists tear their hair out, can just be a bunch of standard death achievements.
  • Stink Eye - Die to the Eye of Cthulu
  • World Worm Wipeout - Die to the Eater of Worlds
  • Brain Damage - Die to the Brain of Cthulu
  • GLORP - Die to a King Slime
  • Goblins. Goblins EVERYWHERE. - Die to the Goblin Invasion.
  • Skull Swatted! - Die to Skeletron
  • What a Buzzkill - Die to Queen Bee
  • Hit the Wall - Die to the Wall of Flesh
  • I’m Melting! - Die to Lava
  • Jungle Fumble - Die to a Jungle Enemy
  • Grimm’s Fairy Tale - Die to a Hallow Enemy
  • Bloody Mess - Die during a Blood Moon
  • Crimson Tide - Die to a Crimson Enemy
  • Power Corrupts - Die to a Corruption Enemy
  • Clever Girl… - Die to a Nymph
  • With Nasty, Sharp, Pointy Teeth - Die to a Corrupted Bunny

  • Gravity is a Harsh Mistress - Die to fall damage
  • Counted to Six - Die by self inflicted explosion damage
  • Et Tu, Brute? - Die by teammate damage (if possible?)
  • The Hunter Hunted - Die by PVP Damage.
  • Always a Bigger Fish - Die to Duke Fishron
  • Total Eclipse of the Heart - Die to a Solar Eclipse Enemy
  • All Hallows Grieve - Die to a Pumpkin Moon Event Enemy
  • Put on the Naughty List - Die to a Frost Moon Event Enemy
  • If At First You Don’t Succeed… - Die to every boss, biome and event in Hardcore.

Wish I had seen this thread sooner... There's so many suggestions to sift through that I wonder if mine will ever be noticed... (NOTICE ME, SEMPAI!)
Oh well, making this list was fun. Hope people at least have fun reading them! xD

These are actually really good, though I don't like the idea of having hardcore exclusive achievements. Maybe they can be for expert mode?

I agree, but perhaps because I consider how easy it would be to get these hard core achievements, since the cores are tied to character instead of world.
 
Skeletons in the closet - prime is ded
om nom nom - Kill Wall o flesh (fesh= meat)
who's the REAL destroyer? - destroy destroyer
Yrimri - Kill dungeon Guardian without turtle or titanium armor, and without Black belt/master ninja gear
eye killed You - Doom of twins( What the?!)
Pink plant-errr - Kill plantera

Truename - Obtain the Green Cap the normal way.
Crank the Beats - Obtain all music boxes
Marco? Polo! - Touch all four edges of the map
Through the Aperture - Teleport six different ways
Gallumphing Back - Obtain trophies from every boss
Who Fights Monsters - Obtain masks from every boss
Taking a Licking - Die from Wall of Flesh despawn
Skydiver - Suffer maximum fall damage
Go Fly a Kite - Keep a a non-boss enemy spawned for over 20 minutes
Electrum Spectrum - Obtain all alternating ores in one character's inventory
Just Within Reach - Be killed by a boss with less than 5% health left
Photo Finish - Kill a boss with less than 5% health remaining
Mayhem Mode - Spawn three normal mode bosses at once
God Mode - Spawn three Hardmode bosses at once
Master Sword - Obtain the Night's Edge
Kill or Be Killed - Kill another player in PVP
Apostate - Break all Altars in a world
GD Bats - Have four different kinds of bat spawned at the same time
Golden Idols - Kill an enemy with a boulder
Inside the Hourglass - Die from suffocation.
DMZ - Die from an explosive trap
Sands of Time - Kill an enemy with falling sand/silt/slush
Virtually Immortal - Kill a Blazing Wheel
Big Boy Pants - Spend more than three full day/night cycles at the Underground level or below
Whoops - Kill a Truffle Worm
Persistent Headache - Die three times in under a minute
Sightseeing - Visit the Underworld and Space layers as a ghost
Absolute Black - Remove all light source objects in a world
 
Some of these achievements aren't those awarded by proceeding in the story. They're just, sort of, optional (Except, maybe, for the Turtle armor one). Rather, achievements for the more experienced players to get when they don't know what to do. Achievements: Fisherman - Get the full Angler armor set! I Like Turtles! - Get a full Turtle armor set. The Combine - Successfully merge ten pairs of items. Landslide - be killed by a boulder trap five times. Cold, but in fashion - Acquire and equip a full set of Pink Eskimo armor. King of the Ocean - Acquire a Tempest Staff, Fishron Wings, Flairon, and Tsunami bow. PhD - Heal a total of 1,000,000 HP with healing potions. Rainbows! - Acquire the Rainbow Gun and Rainbow Rod. Master Swordsman! - Acquire The Horseman's Blade and the Terra Blade. I'm a Vampire! - EquipBat Wings, Vampire Knives, and a Moon Stone. Feeling HOT, HOT, HOT! - Equip a full Molten Armor set, a Fiery Greatsword, a Phoenix Blaster, and a Sharanga. Wait, the Nether? - Have a stack of 14 Obsidian in your inventory and an Obsidian Skull equipped, all while having the Obsidian Skin buff on.
 
So FANCY!!: Obtain every vanity item in the game.
Doing the impossible: Kill the Dungeon Guardian.
Bug catcher: Catch 30 things with the bug net.

Gel for gel: Kill the Kingslime with a flamethrower.

Slimelover: Collect all Slimebanner.

Slimeknight: Kill the Kingslime while riding the Slimemount.

Revenge: Kill the Kingslime only with Shurikens or/and a Katana while wearing the Ninjacostume in your Armorslot.

Slimed: Slime the Guide with the Slimegun.

Fireslime: Move on Lava for 7 seconds while riding a Slimemount.

Pumpkin Moon: Halloween Has Come Early This Year
First Blood Moon: The Sky Has Been Painted Red By The Bloody Moon
Alien Invasion: the extraterrestrials are invading
Making A World For the First Time: A New Beginning
Crashing the Game: Laggy game LOL
making a crating table for the first time: Crafty

-slime hunter: kill, at least one of, every type of slime.
-whoopa!: Hit a block with your head whilst riding the turtle mount.
-tradgedy: have the guide die during the frost moon.
-too cool: drop a bucket of lava on an ice block
-keep up!: have the beach ball bounce off of a player three times, before hitting the ground.
-traitor: kill another player (or npc).
-KABOOM!: Set of explosives.
-NO, NO, NO!: drop a yellow rank weapon in lava.
-HIYAH!: kill an enemy with the katana, while wearing the ninja armour.
