In my timezone it comes out at 11 am june 30, and my countdown timer is fairly sure there is a day and 22 hours left at least.

Still, it gives me the illusion that there won't be that much new content.

(Though it's only a illusion i guess. 1.3 will most likely add an insane amount of things again.)

GUYS LOOK AT THIS

I've been browsing the achievements list released on Steam, and I came across a tasty tidbit about our final boss...

THREE DIFFERENT ACHIEVEMENTS FOR ONE BOSS SEQUENCE? THE MOON LORD? OMG HYPE!!!

 

[Demon Master]

In the achievement big booty there are 5 keys, all of which are ones that already exist. This suggests that the desert doesn't have a dungeon chest.

It appears that all bosses have an achievement for killing them, and so do the events. The final boss will be called the moon lord and the cultist could be a boss too.

Honestly, most of these achievements seem really easy. Chop down a tree, mine some ore.

I'm sure in newer updates, once Red and his team continues to Otherworld and Terraria 2 that there will be new achievements added because the new devs will want to add more user made content, not just random, but more known and liked.

Perhaps you need the game to actually trigger the achievements first, the triggers which are to be found in 1.3
