[1.4.4.9] TerrariaPatcher (plugins and more!)

Not sure how to help. Try running in different compatibility modes like Windows 7 compatibility (if you're using windows 10). Run as admin. Look for any error log files in your Terraria folder..
i open up properties, no compatibility tab. i try to troubleshoot, it says to run in admin wen it does that by default. no files are changed or created, and wen i last tested this, Terraria was 1 version behind what it is now, so not a big enough difference to matter. I've tried vanilla Terraria and tModLoader, neither work

another question: in the source for terraria patcher are there things missing? I see function calls but they are not defined anywhere(like the one hit kill option)

just pointing out to start off the limit is number of mobs alowed on screen the rate is how fast they will try to appear as for being over written by biome limits its not i keep mine at 50/500 lol i also sometimes just set the 50 to 0 to stop all spawns while building it even stops the blood moon boost a normal game would get

also added note like it says in the wiki i believe related to spawning each mob on screen lowers the rate so having a higher rate then limit is always needed tho i dont think it can go above about 60 or so enemies on screen

The post you quoted is a perfect explanation.
"The patcher only edits the 'base spawn rate' and 'base spawn limit'. I think the game then does some math based on biome / mode / etc to determine the current spawn hard limit." So yes, 10 and 200 will double the spawn limit and spawn rate.

OK. Thanks for clarifications both of you guys.
PS: You made me a hard time to decrypt your formulations without punctuation yestoA ^^

oh no!

i m playing it with the terraria leveld mod. it's an rpg mod where you get over 500 hp.
and it combined with your patcher the healthbar is completely erased. - you don't see it on the ordinary display nor when u open your bag BUT you can see it when you click on options

I am having an issue using terraria patcher with tmodloader/thorium mod. Anytime I enable the patcher and host a server with my gf the game slows down, fps drops a bit and everything is in slow motion. Only with patcher enabled. If she or I takes off modded armor/vanity items The lag instantly goes away. I have a good pc and have done quite a lot to try to fix it and to no success. Anyone else having these issues?

r u using the vanilla health and mana? if not, get Unleveled and change it to the vanilla helath and mana (Hearts 1). Leveled has a helath and mana bar specifically designed for Leveled, but Unleveled, by the same person, takes community input for the styles and is built to work perfectly with Leveled

I'm also having lag issues while wearing armor sets from Thorium. Strangely enough i don't remember having this issue on the previous version.

i tried to set it back but it doesn t work.
i clicked it back to default but even with disabled unleveled it s imprinted into the leveld mod

Is this working for the current version of tmodloader? v0.10.0.2.
If so please tell me how do sync it with tmodloader, I tried to sync it into the tmodloder terraria application but it doesn't work, it just changes back to vanilla! Or do I have to put it in the "TmodloaderServer"?

Hi. When I was using this, I was happy. I could make a bunch of npcs battle bosses while I don't die. But my problum is, when I whent to go activate some new mods, 4 of my old mods had a file that didnt load, making me lose the magority of my npc fighters. This has never happened before indtalling Terraria Patcher, and if this has already been answered, I didn't see it because I skipped to the last page. And if you respond after today, I may see it, but will not be able to do anything until 2 sundays from now.

Is the bug with the chlorophite armor fixed already?

BUG:
can't turn off the chlorophite armor set buff with the crystal that shoots enemies.
no matter what I change in the patcher, it still doesn't go away

Notes:
  • Tested and working with Terraria 1.3.5.3 (and tModLoader v0.10.0.1) but it most likely works for later versions too!
  • Requires .NET Framework 4.5!
  • This patcher will permanently modify the Terraria.exe to your preferences. The patcher will ask if you'd like to back up the original Terraria.exe, you should do this so you can restore it at a future time if you don't wish to use your modifications anymore. If you don't do this, you can use Steam to reinstall a clean copy of Terraria.
  • Do not try to patch Terraria.exe twice.. Unintended results may occur. Always patch a fresh copy of Terraria.exe or tModLoader's Terraria.exe.
  • Getting Steam achievements for the Angler will not work if you try to remove the per day limit. (Not sure but its possible this is because Steam has its own set of internal rules configured for each achievement. My guess is that one of the rules is that you cannot gain a progress on that achievement in the same day. There is no way around this.)
  • When patching you should always hit yes to this:
BHGYUe1.png

This will copy Terraria.exe to Terraria.exe.bak.

  • Later on when you want to patch your exe differently (maybe turning on some features) you don't have to do any file system management (no messing with backup files). You simple patch again and if it sees a Terraria.exe.bak it will ask you:
pE1vD7D.png

This will overwrite your Terraria.exe (patched) with the Terraria.exe.bak (original) before attempting any patching.

  • If you patch your Terraria.exe and forget to make a backup you can always get back the original by opening Steam and using this button:
shRRQvr.png

  • Terraria updates to new version via Steam. Oh no! All your mods are gone, what will you do?!
    • Launch TerrariaPatcher.
    • Patch the new Terraria.exe and hit NO to the message asking if you want to restore the old backup. YOUR OLD BACKUP IS AN OLD TERRARIA, WHY WOULD YOU RESTORE IT?!
    • Profit?!

FAQ:
  • Q: Does this support Mac/Linux?
  • A: No and it never will.
  • Q: When I run Terraria via Steam after patching I get a message that says "Please launch the game from your Steam client" or something similar.
  • A: Run Steam with administrator privileges then run Terraria via that elevated instance.
  • Q: While patching or on Terraria startup I get a message saying the file is in use or access is denied.
  • A:
    • Don't run the patcher inside your Terraria folder. Run it from your Downloads folder or something.
    • Check that you are running the patcher with administrator privileges.
    • Make sure Terraria is closed when you are patching.
  • Q: My anti-virus is removing TerrariaPatcher and/or my patched Terraria.exe. Why does my anti-virus think your tool is malicious?
  • A: If you think about it, the intent of the program is somewhat malicious.
    • Your anti-virus is correctly identifying that your patched Terraria.exe has dynamic code compilation (used for plugins) and is suspicious.
    • Your anti-virus is also correctly identifying that the TerrariaPatcher itself has code to modify other executables (Terraria.exe). This is a behavior used by many malicious viruses/worms.
    • If you have doubts about using TerrariaPatcher for fear of it being a virus, just remember the entire project and all plugins are open source and can be inspected by anyone.
Plugin Notes:
  • To use the plugin functionality you must check the box in the patcher:
v6nkp9f.png

  • Then after you patch your Terraria, you should see a Plugins folder and PluginLoader.dll in your Terraria installation folder as seen in (1) and (2) here:
CXcTCRm.png

  • Feel free to add/contribute your own plugins! It is simple and easy to add new plugins. If your plugin is cool I can add it to the existing ones I am distributing.
  • After running Terraria you will see a Plugins.ini in your Terraria folder as seen in (3). This will contain any configuration relating to the plugins you have.
  • Use this link for key codes in your Plugins.ini: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.xna.framework.input.keys.aspx
  • Default chat commands:
    • /plugins (displays the names of each plugin you have loaded)
  • Hotkey bindings:
    • Add the following to your Plugins.ini file:
zruOb3o.png
    • This example binds the CTRL+K hotkey to the command /usetime 0
    • Hotkey ordering does not matter (eg. Control,K vs. K,Control)
    • Hotkey modifiers are case-insensitive.
    • Valid hotkey modifiers are 'Control', 'Shift' and 'Alt'.
    • Or use the Bind plugin to manage hotkey bindings.

Thank you a lot for the patcher, but I am having trouble understanding how to use the ItemConfig plugin. When I open the .CS file, The instructions tell me what to do, but not where to code it. Would someone be able to paste in a completed (I mean like the whole document, from the first to the last) with something like a terra blade with super fast usetime, animation time and size? Thank you!
