Humorous 1000 Fun Facts

2025: The first two CD-I Zelda games actually have pretty good soundtracks, believe it or not. Hotel Mario's isn't bad either.

2027: On Febuary 25th, 2019, the as-of current president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, posted a tweet with a video consisting of mostly text in front of images. The music choice is the interesting part of the tweet, as said music is taken from the second phase of the Solaris Fight from Sonic 06.

Fun Fact 2029: There is a specific category of Minecraft that might one of the shortest speedruns in existence. The goal is to obtain a diamond from a set seed with structures enabled. The most optimal seed for this speedrun is walruswalruswalrus, as this causes you to spawn inside of a house within a village. Immediately to your left exists a chest with a diamond inside of it. The current world record sits at 383 milliseconds, or just above 23 frames.

Fun Fact 2030: The current world record for making the fastest Peter Griffin Mii is right below 19 seconds.

Fun Fact 2031: The fastest world record for getting a temporary ban in Club Penguin is 37 seconds and 370 milliseconds. Though someone has created a TAS (Tool-Assisted Speedrun) for getting banned on Club Penguin, which is clocked in at a time of 29.1 seconds.

Fun fact 2033: Fermi estimation is where you get an answer by rounding/assuming every number is just a 1 followed by a bunch of zeroes. For example, I have
  • About 1 arm
  • About 1 leg
  • About 10 limbs
  • An age of about 10
  • Spent about 10 minutes on this post

Fun Fact 2037: One unused enemy in Super Paper Mario is a spinning wheel of Marios that's appearance mimics the actions of the player. If this enemy is killed, then it crashes the game.

Fun Fact 2040: Speaking of unused Super Paper Mario enemies, one of them is a Gold Bar X3 that chases you and makes sword sounds. If you collect it... the game crashes.

2041: It took this thread 684 days (just under 2 years) to reach its goal, from 17/12/2015 to 30/10/2017 (though the exact accuracy is unclear, as some people had trouble counting). Since then, there have been 944 days (about 2.5 years) of nobody really knowing what to do in this thread. One of the first ideas was to count back down to 0, which did catch on quite well at first, but mostly died out before it could really get very far. Others seem content to continue counting up, presumably to 2000; this goal was reached due to an error in which Storm Diver Ω pointed out the existence of two 1196 facts, accidentally typing 1996. Face Monster then proceeded to 1999, skipping 1997 and 1998, causing the assumed goal of 2000 to be reached about 802 facts earlier than expected (though it is worth noting that, due to issues in counting and the aforementioned attempts to count down, there were likely more than 1196 facts at the time, meaning 2000 was a bit less than 802 facts away).

2040, for those who dislike meta facts: RAS syndrome describes the use of part of an acronym with the acronym itself. For instance, RIP in peace, or more obscurely, PIN number and ATM machine. Amusingly, the RAS in "RAS syndrome" stands for Redundant Acronym Syndrome.
