1. When you use a Rainbow Rod in lava, it clips through blocks. This occurs in both large and small amounts of lava. The Magic Missile and Flamelash do not cause the same effect in lava, presumably because they explode on contact with solid tiles. Link to videos of this:

2. Various enemies, passive creatures, NPCs, and bosses will clip through the floor and move around slowly and in strange patterns before coming back above the blocks and behaving like normal. Others have probably reported this before, but I mentioned it just in case.

1. We are looking into this issue, thanks for the report

2. This is a new system we are still working on and improving. Enemies will glide to their positions instead of teleporting when servers are lagging. You can actually turn it off in the config setting if you prefer (its only in multiplayer).
