Hello!
I've been playing Terraria for over ten years--since I was a prepubescent child, haha. I adore this game. Among the many wonderful things about it, I can't think of any other game that lets you customize as freely as Terraria.
Most armor sets have male and female variants. The female variants often include exposed chest and stomach.
The female version of meteor armor even has breasts:
Obviously, this is a very minor thing. It's like, four pixels. But I distinctly remember being a little girl when this gendered armor update was pushed, and I recall being very distraught that my character suddenly had an exposed chest. Playing with male friends as a kid, it suddenly made me feel super self-conscious--why did my character, just because she was female, get 'tiddy armor?' Why was my character suddenly different from theirs'? A character I projected myself onto was suddenly dressed in revealing clothing: I realize it's silly in hindsight, but as a kid, I felt like my character was naked. I still don't personally like using the female armor variants (no judgement to those who do!) and play exclusively as a male character for this reason.
Obviously, I know the developers had no bad intentions! Regardless, I and many others would be immensely grateful if there were an button, perhaps in the vanity section of the inventory, to toggle whether you want your armor to be gendered male or female. That way, players could play with whichever variant they enjoy the most, regardless of the gender they chose for their character.
