Technical knowledge

Moon Lord has a laser cycle of exactly 20 seconds
The player moves at a rate of 20 pixels per tick, or 75 blocks per second (1 block = 16 pixels, 1 second = 60 ticks)
Teleporting transports you to that exact relative position to the track. Thus, your progress along the end teleporter track is added to your progress along the next track.
Thus, the track length must be a multiple of 1500, minus one for reasons unknown but it worked when i tested it.

Player teleportations can force teleports from Moon Lord.
Thus, it is possible to force Moon Lord to fire his laser at the exact same spot every time.
However, Moon Lord cannot teleport again while teleporting.
Thus, Moon Lord's teleports will sometimes be delayed, offsetting his attacks.

Schematics

4499 length main track (the big one at the top). Measure from center of teleporter to center of teleporter using compass. 1 inch = 1/2 blocks. So 8998 inches in length.
Must be left to right otherwise Moonman laser will screw you over.
Here is the pressure plate configuration for main track and run-up track

As you can see, there are 2 pressure plates. This is because mechanical cart operates at 20 pixels per tick, and 1 block is 16 pixels. Thus, the mechanical cart skips over one track every tick.

The small 3-block track in the main picture is the booster track. Before the fight, you sit in it and accelerate to max speed in your mechanical minecart.
The lever teleports the player from the booster track to the run-up track.

The track to the right of it is the run-up track. This is to ensure that you enter the main track with Moon Lord in a favourable configuration so that all his Moon Lasers miss.
The run-up track is 1122 blocks long. It's just a number that works, okay? I calculated it as 15 second delay back when I thought minecart speed was 74.8 blocks/s. It isn't. It's 75 blocks/s.

The track above the booster track is the main track.
It also goes from left to right, and has teleporters connecting both sides, and both sides are bumpered because reasons.
It's 4499 blocks long (from teleporter center to teleporter center).

The end of the run-up track has a teleporter that connects to the start (left) of the main track.

The diamond track in the background is part of the Twins arena. You don't need to build it.

Resources

5 Teleporters. Two to teleport from booster track to run-up track, two to teleport from right end to left end of main track, and one to teleport from end of booster track to main track.
4 Pressure Plate Tracks. 2 for run-up track, 2 for main track.
Lots of wires. Make sure Moon Lord actually teleports when teleporting from run-up to main track.
5626 tracks (5 stacks and 631 tracks)
1 2x2 Lever. Use this when teleporting from Booster to Run-Up track.

How to use

Use Celestial Sigil or complete events
Sit in booster track and accelerate to 102 mph (max)
Do whatever prep you need to like bewitching. This arena literally only veers by .1s after 45 minutes. It doesn't matter.
When Moon Lord spawns, teleport to booster track and start taping your left mouse button down and AFKing
Go make a cuppa, watch a movie, count platinum shekels, whatever.
Win
