The Main Idea
Hello everyone, I've been thinking about Terraria's Halloween event. For those of you who don't know, in October Terraria has a special Halloween event where enemies have a chance of dropping goodie bags which can be opened for cool costumes and paintings. Terraria also has a Christmas event with presents instead of goodie bags. However, the Christmas event has a town NPC, Santa Clause, on top of that the Christmas event also has a defeatable event, the frost legion. But the Halloween event does not have a town NPC or event, just the goodie bags. I think that there should be a Terraria Halloween event exclusive town NPC that would function similarly to Santa Clause during the Christmas event.
How would you get this NPC?
You would get this NPC in a few potential ways:
1: defeating a new Halloween event.
The event would be similar to the frost legion, but a Halloween variant instead. Could be something like a zombie apocalypse with new, tougher, and spookier zombies. This idea is the most complicated as it suggests also adding a whole new army, but don't worry, I also have several other potential ways to unlock this NPC.
2: Killing X amount of Halloween enemies.
During the Halloween event there are two new enemies, the raven and hopin' jack. There are also normal enemies that dress up in costumes. I think that killing a certain amount of these two new enemies or dressed up enemies could also unlock him. A good number would probably be 25 or 50 enemies, that way it's a challenge to look out for, but also something that isn't too difficult.
3: opening a Goodie Bag.
This one is the most straight forward way. Simply obtaining and opening a goodie bag (or multiple) could attract him to your world!
What would this NPC be?
Obviously, the new Halloween town NPC needs to have an identity. So, here are several ideas for what the NPC could look like!
1: An evil witch.
The NPC could be the classic green witch with black garments. The Witch could whack enemies with her broom, or maybe cast spells to attack the enemies. Maybe during the night or certain moon phases the Witch turns into a black cat as well?
2: The Pumpkin King.
This one could be a reference to the Pumpking boss that appears during the Hardmode Halloween moon army. He would have a pumpkin head and black / purple clothing similarly to the boss. But he would also have legs, unlike the boss. Big black boots with ragged pants would be visible, but mostly covered by his cloak. Additionally, depending on time of day and moon phase he could switch faces, like the Pumpking boss does. He would attack with a scythe, again like the Pumpking boss does. Some of his dialogue could make reference to his boss form and explain why he is currently good.
3: The Pumpkin Queen.
This would just be a female variant of the Pumpkin King. Instead of being the actual Pumpking boss it would be his spouse. Pretty much the same and Pumpkin king but might be more gameplay friendly with Halloween moon army.
4: A zombie.
the NPC could also be a zombie. It would most likely look similar to one of the already existing zombies but have its own features to distinguish it from normal zombies, like different hair or clothing. It would attack with the zombie arm weapon and potentially be friendly to other zombies.
What would the NPC sell?
The NPC would sell Halloween themed decorative items, like Santa Clause does during Christmas. Examples of some of these items could be the placeable jack o' lantern (this already exists.) Wall decorations like bats or ghosts with multiple variants, A witches broom background piece, several placeable scarecrows, a costume set that resembles the town NPC, spooky wood (hardmode exclusive.), new Halloween costumes, rotten eggs, spooky lights that are similar to the Christmas ones, but instead are Halloween colored, like Orange, Purple, and Black.
Conclusion
Thank you for considering my idea, I strongly think that this addition could help add more life to Terraria's Halloween event and also allow players to add more spookiness to their worlds. Again, I really think this should be added to Terraria in order to help balance out the content of the Halloween and Christmas event. If any Devs are reading this please let me know what you think of my idea, and whether or not it could be added. Thanks again for considering my idea, or even just reading this thread, it means a lot to me!

(P.S, if any none devs are reading this and also have suggestions, then please share them. I'm interested in knowing what other people think about this!
