Other A "Now playing" pop-up would be pretty cool

Everyone and their mother loves the terraria ost. So wouldn't it be cool if when you enter a biome and some new tunes start playing that a pop-up saying the name of the track slides in. It could be accompanied by a spinning record of varying colors depending on the track. For bosses there could be some extra flair. Finally, because it may be annoying to have that pop-up appear a bunch if you are moving back and forth between biomes, maybe an option to turn it off in the settings could be made, or add a long cooldown to songs after they've played once.

I really don't dislike this idea. However, I think having a pop-up that tells you the name of the song would be distracting and would break immersion. And besides, we already have the Music Boxes to tell you the names of the songs.

Not a very "Terraria" Idea
I mean, it's not very often that videogames will actually do something like this.
The only examples I can think of are ULTRAKILL's Cybergrind, and SSBU.
As a mod, hell yeah! That would be really cool.

Sometimes having it only play in specific situations makes those songs hit harder. As an example, "Now playing Field of Hopes and Dreams" from Deltarune hits harder because it's the only time it happens.

I agree it does sound kind of unfitting for Terraria even as a setting, but a vanity accessory that does this could be cool I think and probably work.
Plus, there would even be some very niche value in it as well, since knowing what music is playing is actually mildly helpful in some scenarios and therefore such a thing could be a bit of help to people who can't hear or have the volume off.

I don't believe this would work in Terraria's Case, each song is iconic from each biome. Make it fit to that means erase almost all songs and create new ones
