Keep in mind the danger of conducter blocks on enemies. This is on par with Lhizard.

That is true for the game's current traps outside of the jungle temple.

Nice idea! The only thing I would change is adding wire to the crafting recipe, as I think that would make much more sense, since wire is used in crafting most mechanical components. Otherwise, I support! (Also, here's a sprite if you want it:
