Biomes & Nature A reason to seek out the Granite Biome at the start of Hardmode.

With the Marble Biome spawning on the surface now, it would be great to give the Granite Biome some love...
Once I get my Night Vision Helmet from the Granite Golem in the early game, I have no reason to ever go back.
So, it would be nice if something else beckoned my return...

Like a new Hardmode enemy:
I'd love it if something like a Granite Rock-Biter (Never-Ending Story reference lol) were to spawn and drop
a new shield or item that would grant 1-2 seconds of invulnerability which also immobilizes the character...like the Granite Golem's ability?

Or maybe a Granite armor set:
Set Bonus: Press down to turn into a pile of rocks - grants invisibility buff while the button is held?

Maybe just a Granite vanity set:
Turn me into a Granite Golem with a glowing Granite Elemental on my chest!

I would just like a legitimate reason to go back at the start of Hardmode.

I saw an item in the calamity mod! Marnite drill, and opal blaster, both made from marble and granite

i fully support this suggestion
 
Combining the granite shield, for which I propose the name Granite Buckler, with the Hollow armor, cross necklace, black belt, and Brian of Confusion, as described in the YouTuber sockrteez’s video (
) the game might be a bit broken.
 
I like the idea of a new enemy to make the Granite biome relevant in Hardmode, if only because the Marble biome gets the Medusa. However, how would that accessory work? Would it have a cooldown? Or could you just use it whenever? Same with the armor set - is that usable anywhere, at any time?

also, as a major fan of the Granite Biome (It literally got me into modding and spriting, as my first sprite and first modded item is this lantern based directly on the elemental and its banner (which I always loved because it looks like a lantern itself)

the granite and marble mini biomes really just need more recognition in general
they added these 2 dope biomes in 1.3 and then barely touched them since

I really suggest to not take this youtuber's videos as fact, a lot of them are exaggerated or just contain misinfo straight up, this one hurts as a tank main since the build will not protect you and dodge builds are generally not optimal and still require a good amount of actual dodging. As for the suggestion itself i do not see an issue with adding a buckler of some sort as a drop from Granite mobs, most of the mobs have generally good survivability although it would have to be placed in pre-Hardmode since that is where it would be needed the most but it can last up until post-Plantera. I would also enjoy a vanity set, the Granite mobs have a really cool aesthetic that would be very well showcased on a vanity
