A Short Summary About What the Video Game "Splatoon" Is.

In Splatoon, the future world is destroyed due to flooding, leaving the land unoccupied. Squids adapt to the land and come out of the sea, becoming a species called Inklings. These are humanoid creatures with big ears that can transform into squids and back again. Inklings don't care about much except battling, fashion and being "fresh". In battles, you use weapons to produce ink and cover more ground than your opponents do (This is called a "Turf War"). These weapons include guns, rollers, brushes and buckets.

In Hero Mode:
The entire city of Inkopolis is powered by one 1000-year old Great Zapfish, a type of electric catfish that act like batteries. The Inklings' rivals, Octarians, have stolen the Zapfish, and it is up to the player (who takes on the role of Agent 3) to get them back. They make their way through levels and regain Zapfish, eventually ending in a boss battle against DJ Octavio and his spicy wasabi beats. If the player defeats him, they take back the Great Zapfish for Inkopolis.
