a fix for biome spread ive thought of is when you enter hardmode an extra line of text appears hinting to go back to your world evil
"the depths of the corruption begin to fester"
"the depths of the crimson beat with power"
im not too sure on the corruption side of things with this idea for now but my crimson idea is that in the middle of your main crimson biome a much bigger and more dangerous chasm is formed, having a generation shape more like an actual nervous system, vein or something like a heart
when you reach the bottom there would be a massive beating heart hanging from the celing that starts up a bossfight
it cant move obviously since its hanging from the roof but it would have various different ways of harming the player
one attack idea being that it floods the entire arena in boiling blood that you have to climb up high to dodge, another being veins coming from the celing and walls that try to grab at you like tentacles, maybe some other things like ichor related attacks too
a second phase could be where it dies out and a perforator-like worm comes from its bottom, acting as a better version of the eater of worlds, once at half hp it splits down the middle into 3 worms just as long but thinner and with the remaining hp split between the 3 of them, acting like a multiboss similar to the twins without feeling annoying like the eater splitting as i feel there needs to be more multiboss-like fights in terraria
once dead the entire chasm goes grey as if the blood has been drained from it, after a full ingame day it goes back to red as if its regenerated but the biome spread is much weaker now
if you kill the mech bosses you can use some parts you get from them mixed with some new material from the heart to craft an "crimspread inhibitor" that you can place in the central chasm, letting you toggle it on and off by interacting with it to entirely turn off biome spread, the corruption one would probably be called sumn like the "ebonspread inhibitor"
