I rather focus early-HM attention to unique armors instead of "Adamantite/Hallowed/Chlorophyte for most of the classes at each tier and there is no reason to do otherwise." There's more uniform armors not counting headpieces as different than unique armors at this tier, and although it's not a major issue (tbh the only major issue with the game I can think of is Mage being a wreck sometimes) I think I'd rather that than bloating the current ores.
So do you mean you'd rather have unique armors for each class than headpieces? If so, sure.

If possible, yes. I don't think the current ones should be removed, but I don't think it helps the issue to add to the current design.

I think there's already a lot of early-HM armor, so we should be using the few additions we have left to be more creative. A melee, ranger, and mage based early-HM set would be better and more unique than three ores. Plus, it would give all four classes a completely unique early-HM armor (summoner has spider).

Pre-Mech armor is basically just: Pearlwood (Useless), Ore armors, Spider, and Frost/Forbidden, adding on Crystal Assassin post-QS.

You're clearly meant to go for one of Adamantite, Titanium, Frost, or Forbidden, with Spider as your low-effort boost for summoners to get there. More options aren't needed, but it would definitely help. Especially if Pearlwood armor actually becomes useful, like how the sword got buffed.

Yeah, not necessary but probably a more useful addition than more Altar ores.
