The accent rod (probably could use a better name) would be an item that is used to turn a block into an accented form. Accented form would mean that it does not connect to other blocks. This could be done on any block in Terraria, and would make it so they do not connect to blocks around them. This would be much better than creating an accented version of every single tile, and could be used in so many ways for building. This would be a cool addition to those who like to build and don't like some of the block physics.
 
This could also be done with an accentuator, and an accentuator rod (similar to actuators, but instead accented block) :^)
 
Would be great, though I think this could also be done with axes, much like hammers sloping tiles. Hamaxes could be left click for hammer, and right click for axe.
 
That also sounds cool, doing it with an axe
Would also make it accessible immediately rather than crafting or buying it
