There are many new achievements to the game, but they will not appear in your inventory for the next suggested achievement.
 
Not all achievements are included in the suggestions. The suggestions are intended to guide a new player, at least until they're familiar enough with Terraria to find their own way. If memory serves correctly, the last suggested achievement is the one requiring a Molten Pickaxe.
 
My last old achievements is open jungle temple.
But new achievements like defeating new bosses or creating Zenith don't show up.

It's been a long time since I looked and I started with some achievements already earnt, so yep, I'm probably wrong in that regard. :)
But as previously stated, not all achievements are shown as a suggested achievement.
