Weapons & Equip Add more weapons crafted with mech boss souls, and equalize the amount of weapons for each soul

Something that has always bothered me is how unequal boss souls are. Souls of fright only get 1 weapon, souls of might get 2, and souls of sight get 3 PLUS a light pet. They also have a class imbalance, 1 melee weapon, 2 ranged weapons, 2 mage weapons, and 1 summon weapon. Another problem is that some classes are heavily encouraged to do one of the mech bosses before the others. For example, most mages would want to do the twins first, since both magic weapons from the mechs are crafted with souls of sight.

My suggestion is to make it so each mech soul has a recipe for 1 weapon of each class, to make each mech soul equal. I don’t have ideas for every single weapon that would have to be added for things to be equal, but are a couple ideas I have:

Skelethrow:

20 souls of fright
10 hallowed bars
7 souls of night
25 bones

A skeletron prime themed yoyo. Like the Kraken, it is a bit larger than the average yoyo. When thrown, spikes will protrude out of it, similar to skeletron prime’s spin attack. These spikes would effectively make the yoyo about twice as large.
More specific stats:

70 melee damage
4 Knockback
4% crit chance

Now, these stats may seen a bit too powerful, but, the downside is that it has a slow travel time, meaning that it can’t hit as often as most yoyo’s do.

Maceula (name is a pun on “macula”, a part of the eye, and mace):

20 souls of sight
1 black lens
15 cursed flames/ichor
15 crystal shards

A thrown flail themed around the twins second phase. Instead of only throwing 1 flail, it would throw 2, one after the other, each based on one of the twins. The retinazer flail would fire a laser in the direction thrown once it is fully thrown out, somewhat similar to the drippler crippler. The spazmatism mace would breathe out a barrage of cursed flames, (which would inflict cursed inferno) while spinning, based on spazmatism’s second phase attack.
More specific stats

35 damage (retinazer contact) 35 damage (retinazer laser) 40 damage (spazmatism contact) 30 damage (spazmatism cursed flames)
5.5 knockback
4% crit chance
Use time 45 (very slow)
Velocity 15

this weapon is extremely difficult to balance, so with its current stats, it is probably very over/underpowered

Mechanical Wyrm Staff:

20 souls of might
5 rotten chunk/vertabra
12 hallowed bars

A summon weapon that functions somewhat like a downgraded stardust dragon. Like the stardust dragon, only one can be summoned, and every consecutive summon adds another segment. It charge at enemies, and also fire lasers at enemies, similar to how the destroyer does.

I have never played summoner before, and have absolutely no idea how to make a balanced summon weapon, so no stats, sorry

also, since the twins currently have 2 magic weapons, and I think there should only be one of each class for each boss, I suggest changing the magic harp recipe to something else. I suggest either:

A: change it to require souls of fright. Souls of fright dont really make much sense for the recipe, but its not like souls of sight did either.

Or

B: (the option I like more) Change the souls of sight to hallowed bars. From what I have heard, the magic harp is pretty outclassed by other mage weapons obtained at similar points, so making it easier to craft (without technically changing the tier) would encourage people to use it more. Plus, mage doesn’t have any weapons crafted with hallowed bars currently, so this could help.

Thats all the ideas I have currently, but I may come back and make a few more ideas for weapons. If you want to share some ideas for these yourself, here are the weapons I haven't covered yet:

Destroyer: Mage weapon
Skeletron prime: Summon weapon, magic weapon
The twins: ranged weapon

Was hoping someone would mention this, as it bothered me too. Hopefully redigit sees this

The Skeletron yoyo should include bones in its recipe

1) Souls of Fright have the Naughty Present, too. You have to remember that when balancing.

2) Can it be “Mechanical Wyrm Staff” instead? I don’t know, that just sounds way cooler than simply naming it after the boss.

Also…

“Cursed Twins’ Bow”
  • 15 Souls of Sight
  • 15 Hallowed Bars
  • 20 Cursed Flames
  • 1 Black Lens
Shoots two arrows, one fast and weak, and the other slow and strong. The latter gives the Cursed Flames debuff.

“Golden Twins’ Bow”
  • 15 Souls of Sight
  • 15 Hallowed Bars
  • 20 Ichor
  • 1 Black Lens
Crimson equivalent of the Cursed Twins’ Bow. The fast and weak arrow is the same, but the slow and strong one is slightly weaker while giving the Ichor debuff instead.

“Probe Gun”
  • 15 Souls of Might
  • 15 Hallowed Bars
  • 7 Rotten Chunks/Vertebrate
  • Space Gun
Upgrade to the Space Gun; it just adds damage and speed.

“Cranium Staff”
  • 15 Souls of Fright
  • 15 Hallowed Bars
  • 10 Souls of Night
  • 45 Bones
Can’t find the thread, but someone suggested a Prime summon that gets a new limb for every summon. Not my idea, but I can’t find the origin.

“Horrific Harp”
  • 15 Souls of Fright
  • 15 Hallowed Bars
  • 7 Rotten Chunks/Vertebrate
  • 45 Bones
Literally just moving the Harp to Prime with a reskin so it makes more sense.

I can’t do stats, so I didn’t add them. Simple as that.

1. I consider the naughty present somewhat of an “extra craft” like how souls of sight have the fairy bell. The only soul that doesn't have one of these are the souls of might, so maybe something extra with those could be added.

2. I agree, that sounds way cooler, I will change it to that

If I remember well, there's not Hallowed Wings, would be cool has that
