Biomes & Nature Addressing the most annoying things about "evil" biomes (PLEASE Redigit look at this)

The 2 most annoying things about biome spread are as follows:

1.) Corruption/Crimson spreading really fast in hardmode, and taking over areas you really dont want taken over. This forces you to hurry up and beat the mech bosses, and it punishes you for bad RNG. If you are trying to grind for a specific weapon to beat one of the mech bosses, or trying to grind for frost cores to make frost armor to take on skeletron prime, but you are having really bad luck and frost giants arent spawning, well, all that time you are wasting means more evil biome spread, even though its not your fault. It also forces you to drop other activities you maybe want to do instead, like using new hardmode building blocks. Why waste time building when your entire world is on the clock? I cant focus on that right now, I gotta kill the mech bosses! Im punished for doing anything other than that anyway. Terraria is a sandbox. The more sweaty players insist that its a bossrush game, but there is way more to Terraria than just that. There is genuine pleasure to be had in the earlygame, and gathering up heart crystals or earlygame accessories. Building is fun. Golfing is fun! Messing around with wiring is fun. Im sure building a racetrack and driving an RC car is going to be cool. Digging out an arena in preparation for a boss is fun. Drinking a spelunker potion and going after a specific ore is fun. Making an above-ground mushroom biome is fun. Terraria is a SANDBOX. Dont force me to speedrun the early portion of Hardmode under threat of my entire world getting corrupted.

2.) The Hallow spawning in the WORST places imaginable. I kid you not, in VANILLA Terraria, with NO MODS, I have had the Hallow spawn:

-In my Surface Corruption/Crimson, almost completely replacing it, and looking extremely ugly in the process. (this has happened across many playthroughs.)

-On a tiny Sky island for some reason, but nowhere else on the surface, it otherwise just spawned in teeny splotches underground.

-Not spawning on the surface AT ALL, and ONLY spawning underground.

-Somehow spawning in the snow biome, and when I go into the Underground snow hallow, all I find are snow enemies and they arent dropping souls of light for some reason, at which point, I now have to mine pink ice and artificially spread the Hallow somewhere else just to get souls of light. -_-

-Replacing an entire biome that I liked, like the only desert in my world, or a huge chunk of my jungle, ect.

And yeah, you can just say "use the clentaminator!" but at this point, I DONT HAVE ONE YET, and I also imho shouldnt have to move an ENTIRE BIOME someplace else just to enjoy a Terraria run.

==================================================================

So with all that said... what would I do to address this?

1.) The Dryad or the Witch Doctor should sell a Magical statue that you would place in towns. You can get it in pre-hardmode. When this statue is placed, it would protect the town so that evil biomes, the hallow, and or mushroom biomes cannot overtake the town. Basically think of this like an evolution of the Dryads blessing, where she makes that green circle that slowly burns away bad guys. This makes biome spread less of an issue, because it will at least never take over the most critical areas of your world, at least so long as there is a town. Now, the specifics of this idea can be adjusted depending on what Relogic wants to do with it. Does it need fuel? What kind? Can you upgrade its radius, or by default does its protective effect cover the entirety of the town?

2.) The forest biome in the middle of every world isnt usually the only forest in a Terraria world. There are usually a few others scattered throughout. Make one of them a new biome, that is a dark spooky forest, with foggy mist. It looks grayscale and dead, and the trees are bare. Ravens and a new hostile mob that looks like a sickly pixie with a dim, barely flickering light would spawn here. Other than dead grass, dead trees, and these two mobs, there is nothing to say about this biome. There isnt even an underground variant of this biome. So whats the point? This biome is supposed to represent where the Hallow used to be in the world before the spirit of light was locked away. It was ripped from the world so violently that the Hallows removal left a scar on the world, namely this biome. When hardmode is unlocked, this biome is instantly replaced by the Hallow, and the underground Hallow generates directly below it for some distance. You can still get the dead wood and dead grass in hardmode if you want, just craft pearlwood and hallowed grass seeds into the dead variants in a graveyard.

----------

-Side notes: As I am finishing this up, I just remembered two more things I would love changed about evil biomes: Firstly, there should be some reward for clearing out biome evil. The dryad should sell it to you once the world is clean. What is this reward? I honestly dont know. I just know that it shouldn't be so good that you cant play the game without it, but it also has to be good enough to actually make clearing out evil biomes worth it. ALSO - The tunnels that lead underground in the corruption never lead deep enough to play the underground corruption music. Relogic, can you please extend the depth of these caverns to actually make the underground corruption ACTUALLY be the underground corruption? Thank you!

-----------

So there you have it. These are my gripes with "evil" biomes (I say in quotes because the Hallow isnt evil, but it certainly acts like it with how it spawns!). I really hope Relogic finds this, because I wrote this out of a genuine desire to see the game become the best it can be and passionate love for Terraria. Thanks for reading everybody!
