Recently I built an afk farm following the happy days YouTube tutorial and upon completion havent had much success with mobs dispite having a water candle. There is no skeleton merchant interfering either. All I’m getting are gem bunnies and squirrels. Any ideas? Is it my bait farm? I was under the impression as long as I had player made walls placed it didn’t matter what I put under.

Hi there @Balakæ, the presence of your town NPCs may be affecting the spawn rate. If you’re getting critters (like squirrels and bunnies) that’s another indicator that town NPCs are affecting the enemy spawns.
If you’re able, try re-homing them to a different home temporarily. Or, instead of saying close to them, try being on top of your farm and see if that makes a difference.
