I've been thinking that terraria needs more of a variety of town NPC's. I thought of an Alien NPC.
This NPC will spawn if the follow criteria is included.
- There is one valid, empty house.
- The Martian Madness event is completed in the world.
- Can only be spawned in hardmode.
The alien will sell all sorts of futuristic gear. Here's a list of things he should sell with the price and what the item does.
Spacial Fragment - 2 gold each
-This item can be used to craft Martial Bullets and a Phantasmal Spark Storm.
-The recipe for 150 Martial Bullets = 150 Musket Bullets + Spacial Fragment.
Martial Bullets do 16 ranged damage and have weak knockback.
-The recipe for the Phantasmal Spark Storm = Charged Blaster Cannon + 5 Spacial Fragments + 3 Dark Shards + 6 Souls of Light.
The Phantasmal Spark Storm is a gun that uses mana. It uses 30 mana and takes a second to charge up and release a deadly beam like the last prisms(but does less damage) and it also shoots 4 small electric bullet projectiles. This beam and projectile only lasts for 3 seconds then you have to charge up again.
Flask of Electricity - 1 gold each
-This item is a flask with a 20 minute duration. It functions by attacking an enemy with a melee weapon and the enemy gets the Electrified debuff.
Diverse Goggles - 25 gold
-This accessory allows the user to see enemies or any form of life easier. It highlights the life yellow on the screen, kind of like the effect of the spelunker potion.
Extraterrestrial Orbit - 50 silver
-This is a block that can be place but with a special effect. If the player is around the block 5 diameters or less tiles, the players will start to float slowly around it in circles.
Extraterrestrial Rope - 15 silver
-This rope has the same texture as the martian conduit plating. However, if you keep going up or down, you gradually pickup speed until you stop.
Shrinking Potion - 80 silver (CAN ONLY BE SOLD ONCE MOONLORD IS DEFEATED)
-This potion make the user %30 smaller and so does the items when the player is holding it. It has a 8 minute duration. Also, jump height is decreased.
That is my idea of a Alien NPC. Also one of the names it should have is Howard. Just for the Howard the Alien meme.
