Biomes & Nature ALL Sky Islands regardless of the seed should have their grass be Hallowed Grass, instead of this just being in the Celebration seed.

The loot you get from Pearlwood is actually very decent for a starter set - take the damage output for its sword, the Pearlwood Sword, with 30 damage, and it's rather unfortunate that the Hallow on Sky Islands in Pre-Hardmode only exists in the Celebration seed. If you think this is too unbalanced, consider that the threat of Harpies in the early game will often prevent many players from exploring the Sky Islands until they have decent-enough loot.

I like this concept on paper, and this does give pearlwood a use, but doesn't this cause issues with the Terraria Lore? As inconsistent as it is (Especially regarding what Moonlord is to Cthulhu), It still is part of the game with all of light and most of dark being sealed in the WoF

The real problem is that this will probably also spawn Pixies and Unicorns in pre-Hardmode, which means the player can craft things like Holy Arrows pre-boss.

Terraria lore does have tons of inconsistencies already, and Celebration seed already has the Hallow in Pre-Hardmode so it wouldn’t hurt the lore at all if this was added

No it won’t, those enemies don’t happen to spawn in the Sky Islands in the Celebration seed and they likely wouldn’t either in conventional seeds if my idea got added.

Indeed? Well, in that case, why not.

But you can make a line of dirt to ground and wait for it to grow! And one of the seeds change the sky islands to be flesh and corrupt blocks that take up the whole island!

also if you fight unicorns in pre hardmode they don’t drop anything, you can get unicorn statues in pre hardmode.

nice idea though! its cool and useful

note: pearlwood bow wasnt buffed, it’s still 8 damage.

At this point, the look of the Sky Islands and the Hallow spawning in Hardmode are both too iconic to change. This might be a good idea for Terraria 2 but will never be added to the game now.

Not to seem rude, but I don’t think anyone would actually be sad about the Forest being removed from Sky Islands or the Hallow being in Pre-Hardmode — to clarify, the latter already exists prominently in the Celebration seed, and nobody seemed to be upset about that! Besides, you can always use a Clentaminator with Green Solution to turn it back to Forest, if one desired.

I would be sad if Sky Islands didn't have normal grass and trees, and chances are there are other players who feel the same way. Also, no one was sad about it changing in the Celebration seed because it didn't impact normal worlds. It was a cool novelty just like the Corruption, Crimson, Desert, and Snow Sky Islands in the other secret seeds.

Of course, it really doesn't matter what we players think because it would be Re-Logic's decision in the end. I have a feeling they don't want to change the Sky Islands to keep them consistent with past merch and marketing. A great past example of this is Ash grass and trees which weren't added to the center of the Underworld to keep past Terraria merch (like the Terraria Soundtrack Vol.3 album art) accurate.

I'm gonna be honest, this sounds like it's based on player intent.

You can always replace the grass on sky islands, they're not that big anyway. But yeah, I feel like hallowed sky islands could stay as a Celebration seed gimmick.

it's part of gameplay itself. Pre-Hardmode Hallow used to be able to be formed legitimately through shimmering a torch into pink ice from a bug (that's since been patched) and when I built it, lightning bugs would spawn but other than that it was completely normal forest enemies until hardmode started

I guess that explains a lot actually. Was wondering why Ash Grass wasn't in the center of the Underworld

The lore was just made to evade spam like "WHY IS THERE NO MECHANICAL BRAIN OF CTHULHU???!!!" So the lore should not block from having the suggestion agreed upon (except if it concerns the final boss)

Thematically, with the Hallow being a “light” place, it would make sense for it to be close to the sun, but I think it should be more restricted. Maybe only on a new island that I just a grassy field with no house. These islands would the “fall to the ground” and become the Hallows of hard mode.

New sky island, has A pond on one side and a single hallow tree on the other with a few hallow grass blocks
