Wall of Flesh
Mannequins are certainly useful but they're limited. They could use some more customization options. Some people, myself included, also use mannequins to mimic new NPCs for builds and adventure maps.
Any good Water Temple has fish attendants.
So for decorative and aesthetic purposes, what about an easily made alternative that mimics the way players and npcs appear but does not inflate the NPC count?
I propose Wax Statues.

x10.
(Don't worry, there would be a womannequin counterpart).
By no means an immersive crowd. Those blank faces are eerie!
Much like the way you'd interact with dressers, when you click on a wax statue there could be a menu for hair, eye and skin tone. After all, you're simply resculpting the wax.
Hypothetically, this addition would allow you to populate your builds for more lively screenshots and adventure maps. This seems like an easier route than say 'dummy' NPCs. Perhaps they could be wire-applicable or animated through enchantments. Though, I'm no coding expert or magician.
What do you think? Would you have use for this unusual kind of decoration?
