From a game design perspective, I mean I don't really like it as a feature in the main game since part of the whole flow of mining is having to kill undead miner jumpscare #2453 or whatever else is interrupting you, otherwise the process of finding ores becomes significantly more tedious.
It's a matter of perception, where one small inconvenience actually breaks up the flow and makes it feel less tedious despite adding to the tedium.
I guess having it as some sort of Post-Mech potion crafted with hallowed bars or something would be fine since at that point you've actually had the hardmode mining experience but otherwise it removes a necessary break in gameplay.
Even from a player's perspective I'd further like to echo the sentiment that mods are inherently designed to work outside of game design and provide features and content existing outside of core balance (and yet I still despise the Reaver Shark nerf but that's a different matter entirely relating to my opinions on gameplay investment).

I recommended would be better in post-plantera or even post golem for faster access to end game ores.(My reply might have some typo.Sorry for that.English is not my native language.)
