IC An Unexpected Turn

So, this is the IC thread.
OOC thread is here.

Back in its prime 30 years ago, Silver Ridge was best known for manufacturing of construction materials. The industry there has since died down since the factories tended to contain and process asbestos. As a result, other buildings and pull factors have had to been put into place to keep a steady population.

Notable inclusions would include an old-school movie theatre that plays movies from the 60s-80s, a community centre with places for board games, cooking, and even plans to build a pool (they fell through), as well as improved pollution control with nearby waters, as the town is next to a sizeable lake.

However, since the chemical plant was installed, populations have spiked with increases from a measly 80 people to about 790. The population's only held back by lack of housing, but there are plans to create large areas of suburban housing to expand the town. They should be finished about 5 or so years from now.

For now, the low housing costs and nearby forests should suffice for stuff to do.
When the RP starts, it's about 8:00, on a nice morning in late April. It rained a bit last night, but not too much, and it's about 17 degrees Celsius outside. Forecast reads it's gonna get windy later on, and it might rain later that week.
