Hello, Th3K1ll3rOfSk3l3tron is here, with another suggestion (it would recover old 1.05 memories), this time, it is inspired by @Snickerbobble's "Ancient Furnaces" suggestion, and blends completely with Ancient Armour

the ancient table:
found in Underground cabins, or even crafted from 8 (any) wood in an ANcient Crafting Table

the ancient door:
underground cabin doors, also made in ancient crafting tables

ancient crafting table:
found in underground cabins, used to craft any Workbencch recipes, and it is able to craft Ancient furniture

Ancient Anvil:
can make Metal Fences, ancient metal weapons/gem staves, and Ancient Iron (helmet is made of 20 Iron or Lead bars), Golden (helmet and breastplate cost 55 gold or platinum bars), Cobalt (full set is made of 45 Sapphires and full silver armour, because Cobalt is Hardmode), Shadow (made of 50 Demonite Bars and 45 Shadow Scales), Meteor (helmet made of 25 Meteor Bars), and Necrotic (helmet made of 40 cobwebs and bones)

pre-release: added
1.0.0.1: new Ancient Cobalt/Shadow/Necro/MEteor Armour recipes

I really like this concept. Although I feel like the anvil should be more distinctive. Would it also make aincent shadow, aincent colbalt, and aincent necro armor?
thanks for the update of Ancient Shadow/Cobalt/Necrotic/Meteor armours, because the context of the work stations look familiar :)

I don't really see a need for these.
If I'm a developer and would look back at old and plain sprites, I'm not really looking forward re-adding them again as different items just because their sprite has improved/changed.

Maybe if the old sprite had an actual memorable part to it, maybe, but this is rather redundant.

then the ancient Cobalt, NEcro, Shadow, Iron and GOld armours have a very memorable part (don't stick with the past @ppowersteef)
