Mobile Ancient Manipulator Problem

I recently have defeated the Lunatic Cultist and be dropped the ancient manipulator but the Lunar event started and I was killed instantly and I didn’t pick up the manipulator and now I cannot get it back without getting slaughtered. Any help?

You can go flying trying to evade the pilars so hey don't spawn enemys

If you leave the world all dropped items will be deleted, however as for getting back to wherever you killed it, you should descend to the underground then work your way over and dig up as close to it as possible, if you keep a narrow tunnel you should be able to avoid most pilar mobs. However solar has a mob that comes for you if you are in the air to long. (Try hooks to the wall as you dig up if near to solar)
