Game Mechanics Angler Furniture is bafflingly rare. Please give him a shop.

Let's go through some stats.

Terrasavr says my current main character has completed 1090 fishing quests since 1.4 dropped.

With 1 fishing quest available every 24 minutes, math says that should have taken me 436 hours to accrue. Assuming I play 8 hours a day, That's 54 days, or almost 2 months dutifully racking up fishing points on a single character.

In that time, how much furniture do you think I've obtained on this character?

The answer: not even 20 items. Among them, I'm still missing 2 items entirely.

The rate at which furniture is awarded is, frankly, baffling. I understand that you want players to get the more useful items first, but as a builder, I often need DOZENS of a single piece of furniture. Instead, I have enough fish and mermaid costumes, infinite water buckets, sponges, accessories, and potions to fill several chests per item.

All of this could be fixed by giving the angler a shop.

The reason for this is that due to the Angler's reward system, furniture becomes rarer the more quests you complete. Your best bet is to actually switch to a fresh world and grind the furniture there.
