Skeletron Prime
This is a simple suggestion which basically adds the ability to apply the vanity effect of some armor sets (e.g. Molten armor's fire trail effect or the Hallowed armor's pulsing effect) and apply it to your current armor set. This means that you can add the vanity effects of some armours to yourself without actually wearing that armor.
Effect Piece
The Effect Piece is a slightly mechanical-looking device that can be put inside of your vanity accessory slots. It can be found in the Golden chests of the dungeon (fairly commonly) and are used in crafting "Activated" Effect Pieces. They sell for 20 Silver each.
Activated Effect Piece
The Activated Effect Piece is crafted with an unused Effect Piece and a full armor set (e.g. Meteorite Helmet, Meteorite Suit, and Meteorite Leggings) at a Tinkerer's workshop. This will create an Activated Effect Piece with the effect of the armor used to craft it with. When put inside of your vanity accessory slots your character will show the visual effects of the armor that the Activated Effect Piece was made with, overriding any current armor visual effects the player has on. They sell for 20 Silver each.
