Autopause when speaking with the guide

Hey guys

Just bought the PC Steam game, and I have a small issue. Trying to talk to the guide in my first game to learn about things, but the autopause option doesn't work when talking to him, and I am getting mauled in the process šŸ„³

Is this supposed to happen? One wiki I consulted says Autopause works when speaking to NPCs or in the inventory.

PS: It's the latest version of the game on Steam, 1.4.0.4
 
Did you turned autopause on? I think by standard, it's turned off, so the game won't be paused while talking with NPCs, opening inventory, etc. until you turn autopause on.
Or did you turned it on, and it's still not paused while talking to NPCs?
