Baitswitch Fishing

Ever wanted to fish with Master Bait all the time, but don't want to waste it? Worry no more, for here I have the solution for you!

If you pick up another bait and it is placed in a numerically superior (left and top) slot, it will be consumed over the Master Bait!

Since the catch is determined when the bobber bobs, you can go ahead and use Master Bait's OP catch chance while consuming some garbage-tier bait instead!

Step 1: Arrange bait such that all empty slots are numerically superior
Step 2: Throw away garbage bait
Step 3: Fish with Master Bait's fishing power
Step 4: When bobber bobs, retrieve garbage bait THEN reel it in
The garbage bait will now be consumed over the Master Bait.​
 
Interesting exploit but it sounds more tedious than it's worth, tbh. Master Bait effectively pays for itself so as long as you don't throw away Crates, a few of those will last you forever. And even if you only have 1, Master Bait is only 10-15% better than Buggies or Nightcrawlers so this isn't going to help you much anyways.
 
It's mostly for earlygame fishing and skyblock maps

Master Bait only starts paying for itself once you get some FP items
