I like the suggestion! I'm assuming this applies to other ore types as well? How about HM ores?

Yeah,just more world options.Orichalcum or mythril,etc.

Not bad, but all players who want better items would just take alt ores (Tin, lead, tungsten, platinium, palladium, orichalcum and titanium)

There are 2 reasons for that.
1. Manipulation of the game
2. Minor asthetic
I really think 1 outweighs 2

I want it mainly because of 2.I use ores in my builds and I'm way too lazy to transfer the items through worlds.

Also hardmode ores aren’t Chosen on generation, they at randomly picked when smashing an alter, this could easily be changed though.

Yes, but metals and ores should not be part of this because biomes they certainly are not, and nature also not because even being something not made by humans and that flourishes from the earth, it is not something that fits neither in the fauna nor in the flora.
