Biomes & Nature Biome Spread Intensity Selection

Spazmatism
Biome spread is definitely a remnant from an.. older time. back when the world destroying what you worked on was fair game. Not to say it's a bad idea in hindsight, it's just that some players might not like how it is now in its current state, while others might prefer it. That being said, here's a set of four "Biome Spread" difficulties that i've written up that would be selectable on world generation.

Stunted
I like my worlds
-Tight Spread biome size limitations
-Biome Spread rate reduced

Blooming
The new standard
-Loose Spread biome size limitations
-current biome spread rate

Prolific
A familiar face
-No spread biome size limit
-Current biome spread rate
-A random block is corrupted on altar destruction

Invasive
The world may be a canvas, but it's certainly not mine
-No spread biome size limit
-Increased biome spread rate at all stages (most notable in hardmode, though with a slight increase in pre-hardmode)
-Can perform hardmode-exclusive block spreading in pre-hardmode
-A random block is corrupted on altar destruction

Regarding "Spread Biome Size Limit"
While this is pretty self-explanatory, i should still go slightly more in-depth.
When a Spreading Biome has a size limit, it cannot exceed that amount of infected blocks by itself. This limit increases when hardmode triggers, and decreases when plantera is slain--in other words, the limit increases and decreases as the spread rate changes over the course of progression. The limit also varies based on world size. When it begins to approach its limit, the spread will start linearly slowing down until it comes to a full halt.

Stunted's biome size is very tight, only allowing spreading biomes to roughly double in size from what's generated at the strip when entering hard mode.

Blooming allows it to spread much further, but keeps it from consuming the entire world--allowing for roughly 50% total world corruption, 25% for both spread biomes. ...or, god forbid, 75% if you spawn in the other world evil and let it run rampant.

Prolific and Invasive have no size limitations, and can completely engulf your world.

Dunno about these tbh.

also what's the point of reintroducing alter spread given that it's nothing but a nuisance? the rest of it sounds fun enough except for specifically this

oh, that's easy
Prolific is literally just the 1.3 biome spread mechanics and that's all it's trying to be

..okay, being snarky isn't actually going to explain anything, so i'll do that now
Yes, the point of Prolific is to bring back the 1.3 mechanics and the difficulties they provided. However, altar spread also caused much more hectic biome growth that made managing your world evils much more tricky (and even interesting at times.) believe me, i don't really like it either, but that's why it's tied to an optional setting as opposed to just being fully reintroduced by default.
As a rough estimate, probably.. 95%? of players would use either Blooming or Stunted. the remaining 5% would either pick Prolific for the nostalgia/old mechanics or Invasive for the masochism/challenge runs, and maybe the occasional "world gets overrun by world evil" timelapse or "what happens if the corruption spreads for 100 days" video.
Since this *only* controls biome spread mechanics as opposed to being a true difficulty setting, it likely wouldn't have anything exclusive tied to it outside of maybe some shenanigans with legendary getfixedboi. this narrows down any reasoning for wanting to enable a harder setting down to "for the challenge."
probably should've called it an "Intensity" slider instead of a "Difficulty" slider, huh
im gonna do that rq
