In case you haven't been paying attention to what I've been up to lately:
Biome Weapon Project: Snow
Biome Weapon Project: Crimson
Biome Weapon Project: Corruption
Biome Weapon Project: Hallow
Biome Weapon Project: Jungle
Biome Weapon Project: Underworld
Biome Weapon Project: Desert
Biome Weapon Project: Cyber

Many people have showed concern over how my new biome weapons could be implemented into the game. This is where I will address those concerns and hopefully develop this into something we can all agree upon.

I've decided to make every biome weapon (except for those of the unavailable good/evil biomes) available to every world.

With all of my biome weapons, the total number is brought up to twenty. That's sixteen in any given world. That's a lot. Way too much for the dungeon. So my proposal is that the twelve chests that don't fit into the dungeon can be scattered across the world in world generation, in mini biomes a bit like the one spoilered by Cenx for the Enchanted Sword. These can be encased in Crimstone/Ebonstone/Mudstone/Snow/Pearlstone Bricks, or perhaps some new building material that requires Molten for access. New chambers will need to be created within the dungeon during worldgen for the biome chests that it contains.

A special feature of these mini biomes is that each contains a special placeable item.

Summoner Lantern
Buffs nearby players with Summoner's Blessing, which increases summon damage by 5%. (This will only work once minion damage is allowed to periodically update.)
Found in the same chamber as the biome chests that contain the Staff of the Frost Hydra, Angelic Staff, Infernal Staff, Vampire Staff, Bone Dragon Staff, Bandaged Staff, and Carnivora Staff.
Crafting station: Ancient Emblem-->Summoner Emblem.

Ranger Lantern
Buffs nearby players with Ranger's Blessing, which increases ranged damage by 5%.
Found in the same chamber as the biome chests that contain the Subzero Machine Gun, Rain Bow, Ecliptic, Bloodlust Arrow, Mortarus, Desert Eagles, and Piranha Gun.
Crafting station: Ancient Emblem-->Ranger Emblem.

Warrior Lantern
Buffs nearby players with Warrior's Blessing, which increases melee damage by 5%.
Found in the same chamber as the biome chests that contain the Cyclone Squall, Prism Lance, Scourge of the Corruptor, Vampire Knives, Blazing Gale, Pharaoh's Serpent, and Amazon Wrath.
Crafting station: Ancient Emblem-->Warrior Emblem.

Sorcerer Lantern
Buffs nearby players with Sorcerer's Blessing, which increases magic damage by 5%.
Found in the same chamber as the biome chests that contain the Hailstorm Rod, Rainbow Gun, Parasite Launcher, Vessel Net, Seven Sins, Desert Sun, and Viridian Storm.
Crafting station: Ancient Emblem-->Sorcerer Emblem.

The Wall of Flesh will now drop the Ancient Emblem, Clockwork Assault Rifle, Breaker Blade, and Laser Rifle at the same rate.

(The Ancient Emblem is an accessory that serves only as a crafting material. Thanks for the name, Dragrath!)

Furthermore, because there is no longer an expectation that a player will only need each biome key once, the drop rate can be raised to 1/1500.

What do you think? A good solution? Let me recap:
Because players know the type of biome chest and the class of weapon inside, they can identify the weapon inside before unlocking it, preventing them from wasting their key on a weapon they didn't want.
The Wall of Flesh/Avenger Emblem problem is solved; players can use the appropriate Class Lantern (which I assume they will have collected, or recorded the location of) to craft the Emblem of their choice.
Encourages full exploration of the world to track the biome chests.

Here's a little something that might help with finding those chests, by the way:

Power Level Scouter
"It's over nine thousand!"
Crafted: GPS, Soul of Might, Soul of Sight, Soul of Fright
Displays the distance to the nearest locked biome chest as if it were a team member in multiplayer, in addition to standard GPS stuff. Also displays what biome it's from.

What do you think? If there are any lingering questions, ask away!

Summoner Emblem.
WHYYYYYYYYY

anyway cool stuff but how about making a dungeon chest? Because I find it unfair that the jungle has one while the dungeon doesn't.

Wow you simultaneously found a way to put a solution to the dreaded WOF RNG... Glorious though Golden emblem doesn't seem fitting as they seem quite old perhaps it could be something along the lines of
Ancient emblem
tooltip:A dusty emblem perhaps the right light could help?

Overall have all my support...

Are the Lanterns Similar to the Heart Lanterns or are they like the Ammo Box?

Huh? It was inevitable... Summoner Emblem is destined to happen, if you ask me...

Oh. Hmm. The dungeon is a sort of gathering point for all the biomes, and the dungeon itself is sort of split into three factions... it isn't a contiguous biome, and I think it would be safe to leave it out. Besides, it already has more than enough unique weapons to its name.

Hey, that is a better name. I'm replacing the name in the OP.

"Buffs nearby players with XXXX Blessing". Yeah, it's like the Heart Lantern, as you might infer.

> Hercules Beetle
They just have to implement Leinfors suggestion that would make it sold at the beginning of hardmode instead of post-plantera.

About the dungeon chest, IMO the dungeon is the not-natural version of the jungle. Even though 1.2 kinda ruined that.
also I don't see any problem in adding a dungeon chest.

Baconfry, I have to say, this is very nice. The concept is very cool, much like your other concepts and the elaborated ideas are neat. Good job on this one, I hope to see more. Any sign of implementation consideration from the developers would be awesome for this suggestion because I would absolutely love to have it in the game!

Hercules Beetle
Increases minion knockback. Dropped by Hercules Beetle enemies, which are rare post-Plantera spawns.

Goliath Beetle
Increases minion damage and knockback. Replaces the current Hercules Beetle.
Crafted: Hercules Beetle + Summoner Emblem @ Tinkerer's Workshop.
Used in: Papyrus Scarab.

Y u do dis ;_;
Even though that idea looks good, I still think there shouldn't be a summoner emblem (but that's just my opinion though) and adding more items just to get an item in game because of its name doesn't make sense to me, and I don't think the developers will bother with doing something unnecessary like that.

In the same vein, this entire biome weapon project is kind of unnecessary, though. But, in my humble opinion, it's pretty damn cool... right?

Yeah I agree.
and a dungeon biome chest would be damn cool, so why not?

because... because... I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING
Get rekt >:)
And here is a really rare success by me in a suggestion thread, probably won't happen anytime soon.

anyway how about the underworld biome chest? SzGamer agree at this so you can't disagree you know..

What I personally think is that there should be Underworld biome chests. However, the Phoenix Feather won't be in them. Having the Phoenix Feather in an Underworld chest would be consistent with the current one-biome-one-weapon scheme, but not this one-biome-four-classes scheme. Especially not with the class emblem mechanic that I've tied in.

So I'm thinking the Phoenix Feather might be a drop from a miniboss, instead.

Are you planning on making weapons for the biomes (sky, hell, ocean, desert) that currently don't have a unique weapon?

Four Chests per biome world... let's see. One of each should spawn in the Dungeon the way they are now. Another one of each should spawn in the Lihzahrd Temple. One should spawn in each of their respective biomes in special shrines. Another one of each would be found in a special mega-shrine that would spawn randomly anywhere in the world. If the Underworld Chest gets added as well, I guess there would have to be another set scattered randomly around the biomeless region of the world.

How does that sound?

You could hide one in the underworld (Just below the normal surface) probably....

Jungle needs to be added to the main post. ;)

I like the idea but seems very hard to do
