OOC Black, Tainted Calamity (OOC Thread)

I know this may seem like a weird time to say, but I wish to quit, as I am really confused on what is going on, and I don't wish to participate in 2 active rps at once.
I am sorry, but I am not a good multitasker.

Guys, we need to sort this out.

1. We're having Yharim becoming a major character right at the beginning of the RP. There are 2 problems with that:
A. He'd probably think that we (Our characters) are unworthy of his attention at the beginning of the RP.
B. He's already causing some pretty crazy events that shouldn't be happening yet.

2. The phantoms of despair should not be your most used characters, Animus. Here's why:
A. You have a protagonist that you really should be using at least as much as your antagonists, rather than much less. It'd work out better, since it's only the beginning of the RP.
B. Like I said with Yharim, they're already causing some pretty crazy events that shouldn't be happening yet.

Can we please fix these things, and make the RP just a tiny bit more stable? Does anybody have any better ideas than these?

One, Yharim is not backing down. If he backed down, the Phantoms would have continued to destroy the village, giving time for all of you to do whatever you do.
Two, my protagonist is not getting a lot of attention here.
Three, it's three.
Get Yharim to back down, like having other things to do than deal with the Phantoms.

Now the only thing is, will the Phantoms back down, too? That's kind of a key point to stabilize this...

So, I've decided to make a bunch of lore for no reason. Here you go.

[Phantoms Lore]
The first desire started from the bite of a sweet apple. We’ve been banished from Eden for that sin. And now we’re standing inside a vast orchard. My basket is so large, all the fruits of the world can’t make it full. But is it bad to desire honey when there are flowers? After all, we’re born to pursue happiness.
Happiness became obsession, obsession became greed, and greed hardened to a golden amber. The first happiness, still smiling, is inside it. The first seed of desire originated from the pure need for happiness. The seed, small at first, grew larger and harder, hungering for more. As the days went by, the seed turned into a piece of shiny gem, and enticed by its sheen, a hungry fish swallowed it. But it only made the fish even hungrier. The desires of people go mostly unfulfilled. Most desires are abandoned, but they are not completely gone. They are buried deep in the subconsciousness, ready to spring up at any moment. It only takes a tiny bit of bait dropped into the water for the hungry fish to come up and snatch it.
The Phantoms were those abandoned desires. They were desires gone unfulfilled. And like their counterparts, they wanted happiness. So they consumed what made them happy before. Power, money, honor, and other forms of pleasures. They ended up gobbling up anything they could find. But their will to be happy is still within them, surfacing from time to time. But when all pleasures became scarce, when they could not have the things that made them happy, the Phantoms despaired. They fell to despair. And it seemed no one else cared.
If someone doesn’t look back, what does that mean?
They do not acknowledge you.
Does not care about you at all.
No need to analyze your action, as a conclusion was already made.
Did you ever scrape the floor, writhing in pain?
It sounds very painful.
But actually you feel nothing even when you lose your fingernails from scraping the floor.
You stare at your lost fingernails, and just before you lose your consciousness,
when you feel you are not yourself anymore, then you start to laugh really hard.
Even though it’s not funny at all.
Did you see the fragments of despair from there?
Or were you staring at your fingernails on the floor?
That pain, that sorrow, that... despair... They just had to keep laughing.
They laughed and laughed, and in a twisted way of fate, they began to enjoy it.
It was their new happiness, the sorrow of despair. A plentiful, abundant source of 'happiness', just for the Phantoms.
They now seek the despair. The despair that people live through. The despair, sins, and all.
They enjoy it. But, like retelling an old joke, they started to stop laughing. But their obsession with happiness continued to grow, so they began to hunt more and more for despair. They craved despair, and the happiness that came with it, and while they got even more power every time they consumed despair, they became more reliant on despair.
Every sip of despair, and their greed, obsession, urge, desire to obtain despair multiplied by a hundred times.
Now, the Phantoms were no longer just forgotten desires. They were the embodiment of sins, desires, and insanity. They did everything in their power to grow, despair, and everything they pleased.
...
But...
What about now? What will happen to the Phantoms and their chaotic urges for despair...?
Who will know?

[Ancient Doomsayer]
...
A Phantom, who fell to despair. Yet, despite all that, did not want despair either.
Maybe it was their duty of keeping a god from escaping. Maybe it was mere pride. But they didn't want despair.
Their duty, hopes, and such kept them from embracing the despair. But... Was it for the better?
The Ancient Doomsayer gained their name from the way they gave justice.
At first, they protected like any other guardian, and so the number of creatures that were attacked decreased. But still the Doomsayer felt bad for the creatures that died in the hands of the monster. Doomsayer had a thought, “If I kill creatures first, they wouldn’t be killed by the monster!”
Because of this, the Doomsayer became unaware of concept of death. To this Phantom, death in itself is salvation. If the Phantom killed a lost little girl in the forest, it did not commit murder. It saved the girl from a monster.
What was this monster? It was something the Doomsayer feared. Who, other than the Doomsayer, knew of this monster?
This Phantom is not motivated by despair. They are motivated by a fear and by a pride of being the protector, the guardian, and so, their brand of justice began to spread.
After time passed, and the monster did not seem to come back, the Doomsayer looked around. Surely, if this place is peaceful enough, then the monster, or others like them, must be somewhere else, and he must find them so the Doomsayer can distribute justice to the monsters.
The Doomsayer killed thousands to save the creatures from the monster and hunted the monster. But what if they couldn't find the monster?
And so, the Doomsayer made a scale. The scale tilted according to the sins committed. By finding the sins, they could tell who was the monster, and who was not.
But then someone said, "What if the scale doesn't tilt at all?"
The Doomsayer became worried, so he made scales that tip to only one direction so he can get the result under any situation.
Now... the cities the Ancient Doomsayer visited slowly became more and more silent, and silence doesn't always mean peace.
The Doomsayer got his name from the way he killed entire cities while speaking of a doom that would impend on them. He got his name from his mercy of death and how he spoke about saving others.
He got his name... because he was the very monster who he was hunting for. The monster who would spell out the doom of entire civilizations.
And yet, he continues, oblivious to this fact. Forever.

Just continuing to bring his sense of justice everywhere he went.

[Phantom Phoenix]
"Doubt."
One day, a question occurred to me. Where did we come from? We were born and left in the world against our will.
Life is full of pain.
They eventually bounded in life. We were only to throw out despair and anger.
"We will understand life and soul through our hands."
What is the point of wings? To touch the sky? But if we were to build a tower high enough, wouldn't we be able to touch the sky?
So many questions, and no answers. Only less than satisfactory theories and hopes.
The desire to find the answers left Phoenix in despair.
We saw so many things together. Things man should never see. Or at least not yet. We aren't ready to see them.
But, as with the nature with humans, we tried to accept it endlessly. We wanted to understand them in our head whatever the consequences.
In order not to collapse oneself. Because what they can't understand and what they can't reach is not acceptable...
That is what being human is... right?
And so, the Phantom of Despair was created from doubt, seeking for answers, and if they couldn't find any, they would destroy the questions, and anything linked or even remotely related to it. She had to find the answers and become happy. And by destroying the questions, there will be no need for answers.

[Phantom YC001/Akmed]
"Let's make a stronger fire in a life like a candle that will someday end.
Life means you will get desire."
Desire...
The very thing that Phantoms are made of.
Phantoms have no souls, as they are empty shells of desire.
For Akmed, he wanted to fit in.
This desire culminated as an empty shell. Instead of fitting in with the world, this Phantom wanted to fit in anything they could find to make them happy into themselves.
When you are just an empty shell, you desire something to fill yourself.
He kept searching, for something to make himself whole. The Phantom desired to fill himself. So he filled himself with despair.
Yet... he always felt empty. He tried to make hearts for himself. He tried to take hearts for himself. He tried to make a soul. In the end, he somewhat succeeded. He made what could be called as a pseudo-soul. It was not an actual part of him, but he has grown attached to it. It stored despair that he carried, trying to make himself full. But despite that, he still doesn't have a soul...
If the Phantom loses his pseudo-soul, turning back into the empty shell he was and still is, he will fall to his knees in despair while clutching his empty chest. As if begging you to not take the only thing he has left.
If not returned to him, he will fill up with despair, then blind anger, and then he will cut down everything in his path, as if it was a lumberjack in a forest.
He will begin to piece his fake soul back together, and fill it with despair, and with that fake soul brimming with despair, he will be happy once again, but he will never be content.

He will keep searching, to add more and more despair to himself.

(That's some great lore!
In around an hour, I'll be back to roleplay, and maybe since Draedon has that mind-reading device, he'll know about their backstories. Maybe...
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Why do I get the feeling that both Draedon and the Phantoms are trying to manipulate each other? Hm....
Oh, well! See you in around an hour!)

Well, as said, Phantoms are manifestations of Desires, and are completely separated from memories of their counterparts. The Phantoms themselves don't know what made them, for example, take Phantom Phoenix, she only has the urge to destroy any questions that wracks her mind, but not even she knows why she has said urge, or even realizes said urge. They merely have these urges from the desires of their original counterparts, but they don't know where it comes from.

Edit: Also, I doubt they would know what created the first Phantoms. They definitely aren't the first Phantoms, and aren't going to be the last.
Why do I get the feeling that both Draedon and the Phantoms are trying to manipulate each other? Hm....
Because both are. But you have sealed the deal, and there is no going back now. Despair may take many forms, but despair doesn't always means dishonesty...

I'm here!

Yes, I guess Draedon wouldn't know, then.

Ooo, this is getting interesting! I can't see what their relationships will be in the future.
