Hi folks, recently i've been building a bunch in terraria and i wanted to show off what i've got so far.

At the center of my world is this tree house. The chests are meticulously sorted and i will bop you if you mess them up. As my collection grows, i add more chests and grow leaves around them.

Beneath the tree is a tunnel system extending down to heck and over towards both oceans. It's a large map so it took a lot of digging!

I've smoothed out almost the entire surface so i can ride across it on my unicorn, adding tunnels and bridges. Each biome is seperated by a lesser-but-still-really-big tree with access to the underground tunnel below it.

This house is next to the central tree. A friend showed me a method for creating nice roofs using paint and wooden wall blocks, so i used that for a number of my buildings here.

Originally i copied a house block-by-block from google images for the snow town, but i felt bad and tore it down.

Hallow town was a bother because there was not enough flat space.

I am proud of jungle town, i wasn't sure i could pull it off. I wanted to grow bamboo underneath it.

Mushroom town. (Haven't bought the pylon yet)

Cavern town. (Sorry if it's too dark.) I want to decorate around the cavern house, but i don't know what to put. It also needs a pylon, but the clothier won't sell me it. Rude!

I modified the entrance to the dungeon a bit. I took care not to change the backgrounds too much in case it prevented the cultists spawning.

I still have a lot more planned. I'm planning a graveyard biome and i'm trying to think of something to build with meteorite oreblocks in order to prevent more meteors spawning.
 
Hi again. Unfortunately i lost everything i made after this thread, my latest backup was february. Today I recreated the pirate ship i lost. I needed a second house in ocean town and didn't have room, so i made this ship off the dock earlier in the thread.

Terribly sorry to hear that :( It is a always a tragedy when so much efforts and progress just disappears. There is a silver lining in everything though, as the saying goes, and in this case - you now have the chance to rebuild bigger, better and more detailed. So, good luck in your recovery and stay safe 👍
 
Today i had an idea for a meteorite build and i also made a greenhouse.

This is apparently how much ore you need to prevent meteors on a large world. I wanted to use ultrabright flames but i didn't have any ultrabright torches.

Simple greenhouse. I like how glass walls look around their edges.

i wanted to make a big vault with lots of gold coins in the bottom corner of the world. i decided i wanted to use a material that would last a long time so i used wood. wasn't sure what to use as lights because it gets dark near the center, not 100% satisfied with gemspark walls

the gem locks activate an actuated door, all seven are needed. i am going to hide the gems somewhere. will return when i have more gold coins
 
i finished modifying the underworld, it took a lot of black paint and work.

i made all the buildings into background houses. crimtane brick walls are funky. the bridge in the background spans the entire central section of hell, connecting every single building.

edit: i made this lil fountain cloud but it doesn't feel finished. i will come back to it later
