Weapons & Equip Boots accessory reworks (+making Terraspark the rightful lord of all boots)

We all have used the running boots at least once in our playthroughs, and we all know that for some reason Dunerider boots are preferred by Red get a bonus effect, which makes the Sailfish, Hermes and Flurry gangs boots objectively inferior to Dunerider. So why not fix it?
I am not expert at balancing, so most likely at least one of these ideas is going to end up either Overpowered or Underpowered.
Feel free to criticise my idea with constructive advice, even if it is a negative one. Or don't, it's fine too.

Sailfish_Boots.png
Sailfish: when touching a stable surface of any liquid at top speed, you will be able to run on top of it for 1 second before falling.

Hermes_Boots.png
Hermes: pressing the jump button at top speed in midair will allow you to fly for 0.8 seconds total in the same fashion as Rocket Boots and its tinkers.

Flurry_Boots.png
Flurry: will work in the same way as Dunerider, except the bonus is applied when running on Snow and Ice instead of Sans sand, compressed sand and sandstone (Giving the Ice biome some more love).

Ice_Skates.png
Ice Skates: now also grant a 10% speed boost on Snow and Ice. Not running boots, but a section only for them didn't seem like a good idea

Now, let's talk about the Tinkered Boots:

Amphibian: works the same as before, except that now when touching the surface of any stable liquid at top speed will allow you to run on its surface for 1.5 seconds (incorporates a better Sailfish bonus).

Spectre_Boots.png
Spectre: won't retain any of the bonuses, meaning that using any of the boots will result in the same effects.

Lightning_Boots.png
Lighting: ah yes, the "lighting" boots. You know how "lighting" I feel? Like the Flash in a wheelchair meme, so let's fix that: now top speed is 40 mph, and you gain speed 10% faster.

Frostspark_Boots.png
Frostspark: combines the new Lighting Boots and Ice Skates effects into one item.

It's time to talk about Terraspark. In 1.4 the Terraspark Boots were added into the game, being the final Tinker of the Running Boots and of the WW Boots. You'd think that this accessory is the best of all boots, which for Pre-hardmode is true, but once Hardmode strikes and you aquire your first wings (excluding the pre-hardmode Fledling wings, those things are useful until you defeat the Goblin Invasion, when they get outclassed by Rocket Boots + Lucky Horseshoe and their Tinkers) they become on par with Amphibian Boots, also added in 1.4 (Terraspark are more useful during exploration while Amphibian is more useful during Boss fights and Invasions). So let's make them "true" Terraspark boots, undiscussed lord of all boots:

As you can see, Terraspark is now a Hardmode accessory, still crafted at Tinkerer's workshop but with the addition of Souls and Amphibian, meaning that now they also have the effects of the Amphibian Boots. What is then the bonus that Wings get when equipped alongside Terraspark? Both the duration increase from the Boots and the ascent speed boost from Frog Leg accessories! Now Terraspark is truly the lord of Boots!
There's still an issue though. Some of its components might be quite rare. So let's fix this:

Obsidian_Rose.png
Obsidian Rose: now drops with a 5% chance. Imps aren't rare (they aren't even listed as uncommon in the wiki) so this is more of a small reduction to the grind.

Lava_Charm.png
Lava Charm: now has a 0.5% chance to be dropped by Lava Slimes. Pretty rare, but since Lava Slimes are pretty common I think that the drop chance is justified.

Water_Chest.png
Water Chests: now are guaranteed to spawn at least twice in every Ocean. They are quite rare, but not extremely rare, at least in my experience. WW boots's drop chance isn't altered.

The previous Terraspark recipe could be a bit too expensive, with all those souls, so why not make a variant of it?

  • Added the Ice Skates and changed the Frostspark's description for more clarity
  • Changed the alternative Terraspark crafting recipe to use Tinkerer's Workshop as a crafting station
  • Moved the Ice Skates from the Tinkered Boots category to the "Ice Skates" Running Boots subcategory

Sailfish: Reduces movement reduction underwater. Your idea isn't bad too, we could combine both, mine's easier to code though.

Hermes boots: Sooo a mini double jump? I dig it.

Flurry boots: Fine with me.

Frostspark: They don't slide on ice. Like from skates. I didn't know skate increased speed as well? We could incorporate the speed boost, but it's not that big of a deal.

Terraspark: uuuugh my head spins, maybe that's too many things to add to a single item?

The skates don't give you any speed boost, I worded it in in a confusing manner, my bad.

Maybe, then again Celestial Shell has even more stuff into a single item.
 
Another solution could be to simply buff both the running speed and wing-improvement that Terraspark gives to all wings EXCEPT for fledgling because that would most likely be too OP. Also, you're pretty much guaranteed to be at the end of Pre-Hardmode when you finally get a hold of these tedious-to-get-boots.

I will say this: Amphibian Boots, which literally only requires TWO Components compared to Terrasparks MUCH larger amount of components should really not be more useful for Hardmode than the boots that Redigit have considered "too OP" for far too many years now. Terraspark even got their own achievement for being "the best". The item that the player has to put in the most work for should, atleast in my logic, be the most useful.
