Bouncy Rails: something that could change your roller-coaster!
Crafting Recipe: 150 Minecart Tracks + 5 Pink Gel = 150 Bouncy Rails
Functionality: When driven on, flings your Minecart up into the air! Can be hammered to change how far you get flung.
This could make your roller coasters more fun to ride, make minecart elevators, and work well for certain arenas!

Its based on how much you hammer it. Hammering it changes how far and how high up you get flung. speed is indeed a factor, but it is only to fling you forward if hammered to do that.

Ok. Because if it would be based purely on speed, then it would pretty much be exactly the same as placing a rail at an angle.

Far from it. It only bounces you into the air! The speed only flings you forward unless hammered to not fling you.

Wait, so if you were completely stationary on a rai and that rail got mined out such that you fell onto another rail even a single block, you would go flying upwards? That is completely unbalanced.

Its main purpose is for roller coasters, arenas, and maybe elevators. If the entire mine cart has bouncy rails under it, it will bounce into the air, and most likely onto another track. It can be hammered to be activated by jumping, though!

As long as you make the bounces kind of weak, and decrease your max speed on the rails (compared to normal rails) you should be fine.
