Boxed houses is a simple mod that currently adds one thing, houses in a box. This mod contains various houses that can be crafted and placed through the use of an item!

Features
- Over 15 houses to pick from, each crafted from their respective material.
- Houses build one block at a time, and you can watch them build.
- Houses come with lights, chairs, and tables so NPCs can move in.
- No building time required.

Amazing! Didn't even think this was possible! By the way, I found a typo: In the first sentence it says that the mod adds 'on' thing.

I think that there should be a group of houses that are interconnectable with a middle house(doors on both sides and platforms on top and bottom), side, top/bottom, and corner ones.
And possibly tunnel like ones with 2 doors, but no platforms
 
I have a few suggestions...

Have boxes for the following materials
(Tremor) Frost Bricks "Chilly, yes. Infective, no."
(Tremor) Glacier Wood "An forest for every situation"
(Spirit) Spirit Wood "Kind souls roam within this box"
(Spirit/Tremor) Spirit Wood + Glacier Wood "You can both shut up now."
Palm Wood + Wooden Fishing Rod "The Anglers would love this."
Rich Mahogeny + Dynasty Wood "IT'S MAHOGENY!" (Tribute for Dragon Ball Z Abridged)
Rich Mahogeny + Glowing Mushroom "Two for the price of One"
Ice + Sand "Just to make sure..."
Iron grade "Who in the right mind..."
Silver grade "...Whatever works for you."
Gold grade "This is getting ridiculous."
Stone Slab "Hardened stone into a Hardened house."
Minecart + Tall Gate + Wire "How to be Lazy Part 1."

Alter the following boxes to allow Tall Gates
Wood + Stone

Alter the material for the following
Meteor (Turn it into Meteorite Blocks)
 
A meteor brick spawner that forms a house shaped like a ufo would be hilarious.
A living wood house spawner that comes in the shape of a treehouse.
A palm wood house for the angler, maybe with a platform floor so you can build over water to fish.
 
Is it possible we could have Giant houses with storage space and everything? Perhaps like a castle or something? Sure it would take a hell of a lot of materials to make, but just an idea. :]
 
I think they should cost in the crafting a bit more of their respective materials, to make it more balanced as you dont have to do much work and the light on top cannot be crafter with just wood
 
by the way the houses built are glitched in multiplayer. if i point my mouse to build, it iwll build the house fine but it will also build it from everyone else in the server pointing at their mouse. so it will like duplicate
 
You should add an area for someone to build, and everything in that area gets put in a custom box. (Maybe a few items with varying properties.)

Have them in Bone ("All it's missing is the Dungeon Guardian") and Lizard ("You learned from Experience...time to be the teacher instead.")
 
so like are you going to do anything else on this mod? or are you giving up on it. i want to use in multiplayer so bad with my friends but its glitched on someone elses mouse cursor too. its probably an easy fix
