I've spent an awfully long time hyper-focused on the Suggestions part of the forums.
Spent the majority of my Junior High career spriting large-scale ideas on my lonesome, with questionable amounts of skill and a very misplaced dedication which both lead me to my current 3-year long existential crisis (writing this as of 11/25/2019)
It was fun for a while, but then I started pressuring myself to think of things to add instead of letting the ideas flow naturally, leading me to lose my creativity in favor of keeping constant production─which failed anyways.

I've known about this part of the forums for a long time, but I was really scared about showing my own art off to the world (this small chunk of it, anyways). I'm STILL scared; people like powersteef, MiltVana and ajidot are absolutely killing it with their art, meanwhile mine is so vastly inferior it's UNCOMPARABLE! But I keep comparing myself to people. If I never stop doing that, I'll never get anything done with my art, and then I'll die.
So here I am! Bry-ccentric's Sketchspace, or just Bry's Sketchspace, in case my name changes later on or something (also it just sounds nicer).
trJhpas.png

Bry's Sketchspace!

Here, I'll post anything art-related that I make, which includes works made with pencils or paint, made digitally (including pixel art), and whatever else I can pull outta my :red: (I am on a 99% Pencil diet, though, so expect a lot of that).
I won't usually post finished products right away; I'll show off stuff mid-creation for the purpose of feedback, mainly. I'll even be accompanying the art with descriptions, because I feel like that would add a bit of charm to an otherwise boring gallery of art. It'll be like my own little museum, made by me, for me.

I won't have any sort of schedule in place or anything; I'll just post whenever I really feel like sharing my stuff. It's a stress-free outlet for my artistry that, quite frankly, I really need. Also, I tend to have long creative droughts, so it's better if I do things this way.

...Nneeeeeeeh.
I don't have any sort of priority or anything on what I do; I just work on stuff whenever I feel like it. If you guys are feeling extra-charitable, you could throw a few requests my way, but I'll treat 'em more like ideas than anything, since I don't think I have the mental fortitude to actually draw things for people constantly.

Well, enough talk, I suppose. Let's get to the stuff!
...Which there's not a lot of right now, seeing, y'know, the whole "I literally just made this thread" thing.

I'm a fan of Bloons Tower Defense; I admit it. I also admit that I REALLY like BTD6's Dart Monkey. It's super useful now, and the Juggernaut's Spike Balls RICOCHET OFF OF STUFF NOW, which is, admittedly, more cool than helpful (each Spike Ball can only hit each Bloon once, soooo).
Now here's a character I still don't know what the hell to do with. I guess that kinda makes sense, though, since the basic concept I had for Rahl was that she's an eccentric enigma who people just can't seem to read. As I throw together random ideas, Rahl gets completely new wardrobes; here, she's supposed to be a... jewel thief of sorts; before, she was an escaped refugee from some place.
You don't know confusion 'til you've seen the inside of my brain.
Vanelopi is a nerd who had no idea what to do with her life, using every minute of her day to sit in front of her screens and play video games or watch videos─or both. Eventually, though, she realized how much of the world she was missin'. After a period of self-reflection, she decided to put in full effort into learning about anything and everything, and left the internet behind.
Fast-forward a few years, and Vanelopi is livin' the hotshot student's life─popular, gorgeous, and good at everything!
...At the expense of her health.
You can tell that this was born from pure boredom. These fluffly boys are gonna build a pyramid to the MOON, baby! Maybe they should get some rabbits for help, though; they've done it a dozen times over.
Or as she likes to call herself: Lady Mischief.
Creativity is very much a weak point for her. What isn't, though, is MAGIC.

And here's where we have a prime case of "the Chicken or the Egg", because yeah I completely forgot if the Bombs came first or if it was Jack.
This is one of my less thought-out characters; he was initially supposed to be a character of the distant past, meaning he doesn't ever interact with anybody else. He's isolated in every sense possible, and being alone is kind of a sensitive spot for me, so this guy's kinda hard for me to work on.
At least his creations get to meet people.
And here's my protagonist! Who's a little, uh emaciated in this drawing, but ooooooh well, that's just how the dice roll when you need to bring your drawing like twenty feet away just to see how weird it looks. Hopefully, Bry'll look a little better.
...I gotta keep my mouth shut.
'KAY, soooo guess HE just has a squished head, now. Pose looks a little weird, too, but I was already kinda expecting that, so I don't mind. I don't think I'm gonna finish this, though; I'm not really happy with how the pencil turned out.
And now here's the duo when they're older, I guess??????
My story's over the course of several years, yes, but this is just excessive. I just can't come up with a design I like for either of these two, nor have I been able to for the past several YEARS. I think my problem's more with Bry, though; his FACE is the most inconsistent thing about him, even more so than Estelle's.
Oh yeah, here's the takeoff of what I'll call Era 3. A Wind Mentel, and a girl with an attitude and quite a lot of time. There's also that one guy, but I couldn't come up with anything cool for him, so to the scrapper he goes.

The Wind Mentel, Gallelea, has quite the strange hairstyle, but it kinda clues you in as to what her abilities are.
Ms. No-Chill, Perennie, is actually usually quite reserved, which is mainly because she doesn't like people, I think. There's also that Clockstop abiltiy she has, but that doesn't really come into play in public.

Now, these three are all old characters of mine, dating back to Eras 1 and 2. I haven't quite gotten to Sylvia yet, but the point of these sketches was to redesign them.
Vena, the heart-stopping hitwoman, had and still has a maid-like outfit, as she poses as one for an extremely rich individual during her first appearance. I should probably plan her design past that.
Her parents seemingly raised her like a normal child, but they had a hidden agenda: to turn her into the world's most lethal assassin. As intelligent, strong-willed and dangerous as they raised her, though, Vena's parents couldn't raise her perfectly; she refuses to kill.
Sasha is quite the intriguing character. She comes off as innocent and a little ditzy (she's twelve, so most people don't think twice about it), but she's actually EXTREMELY intelligent and quite the cold calculator. That's not something she wants people knowing, though.
Even when the brain damage barges in, her core behavior is unchanged.
Sylvia... well, I'll hold off until you can see more than a bust shot.
Oh, and here's some attempts at poses (finally). I didn't exactly break new ground with Perennie's pose (it's just a worse version of her first drawing's), but would you look at that─Vena's KICKING!
...It was supposed to be a sweep kick, but apparently I forgot what motion lines are. Ah well. I also can't draw heels, so hmmhwjgiofjqm.

There was supposed to be a third character, who I guess I just didn't do???
...Yeah I should just stop trying to shoehorn in a third character for each of these.
Isai and Vaccent: the hunter and the musician. They're not a duo (or in any way related, even), but the girls were rapidly overshadowing the, like, 3 guys I had, so I had to come up with a few more.
Isai's outfit might seem a little similar to someone else's, detail-wise, but I can't say I know what I'm gonna do with them yet. Vaccent, though...
I'm probably gonna scrap him. He was supposed to be a classical fanatic, but I care about that genre of music about as much as I care about math: not at all. I also don't understand music genres, not to mention music, so Vaccent was doomed from the start.
*COUGH*
You may or may not have seen this chick before.
This is my first drawing of Escence, a Fire Mentel with a burning aura of emotional intensity and musical passion. As you can see, it's not very good, but hey, it gets the idea on paper, right? I didn't really know what her personality was like, and as of 4/20/2020 (yep), I still don't. Here she's supposed to be sitting, but I didn't wanna actually draw any scenery (mainly because I still don't know how), which is always a good sign for an artist. The one thing I DID want to get right is that her fiery nature is as blatantly obvious as possible with her outfit. Most Mentels don't do that because nobody's a superhero, and neither is Escence; her dress is largely a consequence of her mother.
Three really awesome games with one thing in common: amazing MUSIC, HOLY :red:!
I loved all of them.
Oddity, originally known as Mother 4, is heavily based off of the Mother series while maintaining its own identity! The music, especially, is amazing, especially the theme Ultra-Dimensional Foe.
Wandersong, oh man. I couldn't even tell you how beautiful this game is, from its heartwarming story to its amazing paper-themed art style! I... actually don't know how to describe it, but this game is so artistically well-made.
I wish Strange Telephone's gameplay was able to stay interesting as you progressed, though. Its music really sets the mood, though, and I like it, so I drew the girl with her phone.

I'm not gonna lie to you, these took me a hell of a lot of erasing. I really need to start using a pen or something, because I'm not going to get any better at drawing things like this.
Here's another sketch where I was just bored out of my mind. I tried drawing Bommy, but apparently I had momentarily become completely incapable of drawing the body, for whatever :red:ing reason. I figured it out eventually, but I had gotten really frustrated at the first four attempts, so I threw in the towel after Discom-Bommy-lated.

Escence, the Passion Burning

KU9ELj9.jpg
Three very violent girls, potentially; one's a venom-blooded assassin with tons of inhumane implants and gadgets, one's been afflicted with intriguing brain damage, and one's just a spoiled :red:.
The one you really wanna be worried about is the one with brain damage; due to the way her injury morphed her mind, she actually wants to cause harm to others; or, at the very least, she has no qualms about doing so.
Second to her is Rich Girl, :red: Girl over on the right. She may not have any powers, but her whip sure does. Get lashed by that thing, and you'll feel what amounts to a needle that was dipped in dry ice for, like, five minutes being drilled into your skin for a split-second. She's supposed to whip anybody who's not working as hard as they can, but she INSTEAD singled out a women with an unfortunate name and started harassing her, both verbally and physically. As you might guess, she's able to get away with this cruelty unreasonably easily.
As for Lady Venomous, over on the left... I'll talk about her when I give her a solo appearance.
Perhaps not an original title, but it's one she dons with pride. She's good with hand-to-hand combat, but her main specialty is MAGIC. Having learned the art from her parents, Izzabella can use magic to... preeeetty much just instigate confusion and chaos. That's all she uses it for, anyways; apparently causing mischief is just her favorite pastime.
How charming.

Nice title, huh?
This was originally supposed to just be a height comparison for the characters (spoiler alert: they've mostly changed since then), but the way I drew them reminded me of an album cover or something, so I decided to give the name I had come up with for my story a shot.

Escence's original redesign and name! The original pun was going off of "incandescence", but then I found that "fluorescence" fit the bill better.
Then I realized "Fluoresce" sounded weird, and that "escence" was in both words.

Character design, folks.
Post-rename. I used Sketchbook, I think, to draw Escence with a bit more detail, and I was mostly pleased with the result. She, uh, still doesn't have arms, but that's okay, because she doesn't wear anything on them, so we're not missing out.
Overall, though, this looks kinda janky to me, now. Don't really have much else to say on this.
Just a, uh, fun fact for you folks: I like art.
Kirby's Artist ability: I also like that.
A match made in heaven, really.
Kirby's got nothin' on Gooey, though. Just look at that technique.
Tongue technique.

A huge, amber-orange rose that can shoot fire from its disk, as well as its thorns! It's like a disco ball of FIRE!

SCDsMhR.png
A young lass from the 70s who's always willing to party! You'll usually find her at clubs (and occasionally at the arcade), and she's usually really friendly, not to mention pretty cute. She's no ditz, though; get saucy with her, and she will kick your :red:.
She's quite skilled in hand-to-hand combat, which, to her benefit, nobody has ever gotten the opportunity to witness. Nobody also usually takes walks down dangerous alleyways, which is something Mallory's always doing.
"Why's she walking through dangerous alleyways," you ask?
"Mind your own business; I've gotta take care of mine."
I need to completely remake this one.

This piece was made for a class assignment, but there's no freakin' way anyone could understand what's going on here unless you know Escence's story, which, uh, nobody does.
The point was that Escence was ashamed of the forms she's taken in the past, as all of them either half or fully represented negative emotions. But this isn't made very clear at all:
The angrier Escence, Ijen Escence, feels 1000% shoehorned in and is just kinda angry, and Avela, Escence's appearance during a time where she was forced into embodying her biggest fear (being an uncontrollable pyromaniac like her mother used to be), looks like she's high as :red: and is completely uninvolved. The only form that even looks good is Escence's depressed form, but the whole "is depressed" thing still isn't very clear, unless you count the vaguely-emo appearance.
A drawing of a friend.
They're not actually that focused on art, but holy :red: are they good at it. Unlike me, this person is actually multifaceted in their interests; I just came up with a really good concept for an artist character and wanted to try the design with them.
Can't say this looks all the accurate to the actual person, though.
An in-joke, but Halloween.
Cute, right?
This is, I think, my first real attempt at making something in Procreate, and I gotta say, I'm pretty damned proud of this. Attempting to use Layers was quite a tedious process, though; I was used to drawing on Notability, which is literally just baby-mode drawing.

The Galaxians
The Muckery
The Polterheist
PH3Ac3f.png
nStbBKK.png
jzdRuVa.png
The titular Galaxians from my The Galaxians | Lunar Endgame NPCs suggestion! Originally made solely for the Terraria suggestion, I've decided to adopt these characters into their own story, which is probably also going to be titled The Galaxians.
Each of the four Pillar-themed aliens lives on different planets that are all ruled by the Luminarian Monarch, who resides on her own, fifth planet. The four non-Luminarian aliens shown here have been chosen to comprise the Galaxians, the captains of each of the Luminary Force's four branches. Hooowever, they don't actually get along very well and will constantly argue with each other, sometimes outright fighting. They must figure out how to not completely eviscerate each other while also getting their objective done, which often involves invading other planets.
"Again with the Muckery, Bryan." Yeah, yeah, whatever. I like this thing; it grew on me. The Muckery was originally made for my Hardmode-Underworld Expansion thread, but the enemy concept soon became one of my favorites; a weird, grimy mass that grabbed other beings to mold itself around their shape. Like a doppelganger enemy, except not really, because they're a freaky, black, reflective effigy of you. In this image, the Muckery is styled as if it was a Mother 3 encounter; I got the urge to do this after seeing the Mother 3 fangame Mother 4's Modern Mind enemy.
An actually-intelligent enemy! This guy was a renowned thief back in his day; sadly, he got caught during the heist of what he THOUGHT would be his life. Now he just kinda flies around the world...
...Pickpocketing anyone he pleases.
Yeah, uh, being killed only helped him on that front, actually; being a ghost comes with a lot of perks, including intangibility, flight, fire breath, etc.. In my Making Hell a Little More Lively | Underworld Expansion suggestion, he actually appears in the Underworld, stealing your potions and using them on nearby enemies. Higher difficulties would give him entirely new abilities, including the ability to scare you and some pretty nasty fire attacks.

Notes for my first revision of the Spooky Legion suggestion. Note the Pumpkin Ring that's still just kinda there.
I keep forgetting this is just supposed to be an event, but I keep wanting to stuff more and more content into it. I had to scrap two bosses already, since they were just kinda shoehorned in and didn't have any unique loot to go along with them.
One of those bosses is the Blazin' Jack; as you can see from the drawing, it was a large, round, flaming pumpkin that even foamed at the mouth with fire.
I don't remember if I ever wrote at entire description of it, but it was meant to be a reference to Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam's King Boo fight. I'll give you an idea of what I was planning.
It would've been completely immune to your attacks, only being hurt by its own. It would stayed within a fixed distance of you, either to your right or your left, attacking by spitting Ectoplasm fireballs at you (which I was gonna call Ectopyre Balls). These would fly straight horizontally until it reached the edge of the screen, where they would then loop around to the opposite side of the screen and have the opportunity to hit the Blazin' Jack. As it got closer and closer to being defeated, the Blazin' Jack would start using other attacks, such as an ectoplasmic flame breath and a Skeletron-like spin attack. This spin attack would also be utilized if you were in an enclosed space, punishing cheeky campers with an unkillable flaming pumpkin of doom.
An organized list of the descriptions I wanted to give to each weapon, made nice and presentable for this very purpose. Note, this time, the battle-ax weapon called the Duster.
I was coming up with redesigns for every weapon in the suggestion, since pretty much all of them looked like crap. I'm particularly fond of the Pumpkin Bomb; it's just a big ol' grenade with a happy lil' face on it, with a leaf acting as the pin. A close second is the Flailin' Jack, for sure, especially since the actual sprite was so irregular when compared to every other Flail's sprite.
I wanna draw more attention to the Duster, though. This was a completely new weapon idea, with inspiration heavily taken from D. J. MacHale's Morpheus Road. To avoid you making inferences on anything about the book beforehand, if you're interested in reading it, I'll put the weapon's details in a spoiler.
It's not a super-complicated weapon, but it does have a unique Alt-Fire ability that's similar in function to the Primary Fire of the Glowva Rod from my The United States of Planterica suggestion. The primary fire of the Duster simply swings it over your head, hitting any foes in its path. Its reach is a little small, but its special ability is that it deals, what was it, 16 times more damage to ghost enemies? Yeah, 16 times. It had a base damage of 46, and it was really small, so it'd really not be ideal to use against anything other than a ghost. I scrapped it, however, since the boss I was going to give this to ended up being scrapped. I think it was the Blazin' Jack?
The Alt-Fire ability would spin the battle-ax around you, cutting a portal through the air to summon a bunch of spirit projectiles over several seconds to hunt down your foes. This function would be Magic-typed, making the Duster a dual-type weapon. The spirits would deal minimal damage to ghosts, but only slightly increased damage towards anything else, contrasting with the primary fire.
Oh yeah, and here's this third page of ideas. These were more just random sketches; in fact, the Bombin' Jack makes an appearance, just 'cuz I didn't know what else to draw in that empty space. You'll also notice a spear-like object to the Northwest of the Bombin' Jack, which was actually the Green Devil's tail. You may recognize the Green Devil as being from my Making Hell a Little More Lively | Underworld Expansion suggestion, but it ACTUALLY originated from the Spooky Legion; before I scrapped it, I moved it to the Underworld suggestion. It also makes an appearance in my Old-Console Content: Buffed and Repurposed suggestion.
"Why did you have a Devil in an event that was supposed to be entirely comprised of pumpkins with a silly naming scheme," you might ask?
That's because it was a really elaborate reference to the game The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge.
I set up a link on the title of the game to send you to a video showing off the first 13 minutes of a playthrough of the game, which both perfectly displays both what I got the inspiration from and how the Green Devil, and the weapon it drops, attacks. But that only accounts for the greenness and stretchiness of the matter; why is the enemy a devil?
Well, that's because the gameplay is very similar to the Devil May Cry games. Yeah, it's just that simple.
Anyway, in the drawing, you can also two more designs for the Duster, as well as... a lot of bats.
I was still insistent on keeping the Whack-a-Jack, despite not having any items I could give it, simply because I liked its idea too much. I actually STILL haven't scrapped it, and that's partially because I'm lazy. I do actually think I have a way to salvage it, though.

The Engineer Class
OBF4BeA.jpg
"Hey, wait a second, you never suggested this!"
Ah, I see Batman has arrived on the scene. Yes, this is a suggestion that would rival the scope of The Lively World of Rain, as it aims to add an ENTIRE new damage class revolving around placing and managing sentries as well as regular and one-time traps. I'm still in the planning phases; I don't quite have a lot of ideas, since I have to cover the entire game's length of progression, including armors, accessories, weapons and potions. I'm planning on repurposing my two earliest suggestions for this, since they revolved solely around the topics that I'm touching here. I'm worried about the armors, since I've never been very good at clothing design (look at my characters, for Pete's sake), but otherwise, I think I might be able to pull through.
I don't want to post this suggestion until I have it completely done; this means I won't make any additions or changes unless viewers suggest any. Quite the foreign concept, with me, since I've never made a suggestion without editing it profusely later in the future.

...I wonder what the forum staff think of my constant diminutive edits. I've had to report my threads a myriad of times just to get their titles changed when I inevitably come up with better ones later down the line.

Just gonna reserve like, 2 posts. I'm very familiar with the image limit.
Okay maybe just one. I'm probably going to get pulverized by staff if I keep trying.
Goodnight, sweet prince.

...OOOOOKAY. Slow month, drawing-wise. I'd apologize, but I'm not really sure anybody cares.
I only have a bit of new stuff (which is pretty sad, seeing the whole month in-between posts), but to make up for that, I also decided to add some concept art I made for a suggestion I made in the past! I'm gonna be putting that stuff in a separate section, beeecaaauuse I don't knooow.
Also, noticing that the images in the spoilers are completely erratically-sized. I'll see what I can do about that; just don't expect it immediately.

Wwwwell. THIS went to :red: fast.
Truth be told, I'm not quite sure how to get a handle on my motivation. But, 8 weeks later (I think [yikes ']), I've returned with... not too horribly much. However, I've been adding little (er, I'm sorry; "little") descriptions to some of the images, which I hope brings you some minor enjoyment.
The erratically-sized images, by the way, are yet to be fixed, though I think I know the solution.

Week Twentyyyyyyyyyyy
Been practicing foreshortening a bit, and I've gotta say, I suuuuuuck at it. Vena turned out alright, but the other guy, uh, hoooo boy.
I've been wanting to shorten the gap between updates, but I don't wanna force it too hard, lest I burn out horribly again. I apologize to the folks who actually care about my art (which is still zero, I think) and have to wait a lightyear and then some (even though that's not a measurement of time).
As you read this, I'm working on adding more descriptions to some of the drawings. A little fun fact for you: images in Tables don't actually show up in editing, meaning I have to make out where everything is with just code. It's... not exactly easy, by any means.

Character concepts! Here we have Perennie and Vena, as well as the empty void of life, I guess!
