This bug is not specific to the PC version and is related to the "Slayer of Worlds" and "Gelatin World Tour" achievements. I think it's time to fix it:

Less of a bug, more of an oversight because of new additions.

Golden Slime is only available in certain secret world seeds. I don't think it's fair to include those.
 
This is an issue we're aware of, unfortunately addressing this has some implications so I can't guarantee we will fix it for the next update. Thanks for the report either way!
