Diabolists are the literal worst enemy...them and the ragged casters >_<

I finished two weapons today but I've been too busy with other junk to do much else. I still have 4 more to program (because I keep thinking of more stuff) before the next update.
Hey at least there isnt a enemy that shoots Magnet Sphere's, now THAT would make me neevr to go to the hardmode dungeon ever again.

P.S. I would kinda love to have an enemy like that, just so you can't AFK Farm the dungeon you always have ot keep moving and watching

They had an enemy just like that in the Avalon mod in Superhardmode :guidetongue:

They were a massive pain in the :red:

A fun way to balance it would be to make their magnet spheres break on contact with walls. It makes them more of a short-range enemy as they keep moving and break easily against the walls of the dungeon, so they don't last long either. Think of them as a damaging wall, maybe? xD

Would help a lot against AFK farmers too! Unless you make it so their magnet sphere shocks go through walls... in which case, AFK farmers will hate you.

hey MountainDrew, would it be possible to give all the wings in this mod the Tooltip of "Allows Flight and Slow Fall" like vanilla wings? Just something about mod wings not having that tooltip bugs me, and IIRC Thorium gives its wings that tooltip. :guidetongue:

Also just to show that skyline wings are prehardmode, they should have a tooltip like "Allows minor flight and slow fall" or "Allows lesser flight and slow fall" just to state that it's not as good as actual hardmode wings.

What weapons+setup do you guys recommend for the devourer of gods bossfight?

Daedalus Stormbow + Holy Arrows because it's still viable, Yoyos are not really recommended since they are all considered piercing projectiles in the vanilla code, Fetid Baghnakhs even though you'll need to get close to him, other powerful piercing weapons to get through his massive resistances are also recommended.

For armor I always get Reaver. For accessories I ALWAYS get the upgraded Ankh Shield for the Chilled resistance (currently Braelor's Shield but will be changed to the Asgard's Valor in the new update), and the rest are just damage/mobility accessories.

Advice for the actual fight, stay close to him when he's above 50% health on Expert Mode but never let him coil around you since his body does considerable damage, NEVER let the head hit you as it can one-shot even with high defense, when he gets below 50% health stay AWAY from him at all costs and kite him into space if you have to (this is when he'll start firing frost beams and gravity spit).

Hope this helps.

yoyos do less damage? but i killed him with the kraken no problem and it didnt seem like he took any less damage than any normal enemy would have.

Yes, he resists them. All yoyo projectiles (since yoyos are considered projectiles in vanilla code) have a penetrate value of -1, which the Devourer divides damage by 2 for.

And how does everyone feel about the new Slime God AI? Is it too hard?

Tense to say the least, first stage is not that bad with my Light's Lament, but basically my 4th try on expert (when I defeated it finally) was pretty much me running in circles around my mansion while using the thor's hammer in his general direction and reaching the nurse. Intense clutch at the end, i could feel the adrenaline afterwards.
By the way, the fact that it curses you on hit is just rude:guidesad:

Well Light's Lament is really really strong to not say OP.

I was just wondering but are there any plans to add in some Town NPCs or ideas to make some?

Yes. A witch, the sea king, Braelor, Statis, and perhaps the essence of the Devourer of Gods as town NPCs.

Also, to everyone wondering why a new update hasn't released yet...
We are working on a post-Moon Lord boss battle. Prepare your weapons for a ~325,000HP monstrosity.

Providence, the Hallow boss. I imagine he's some ancient king that had his forces of light snuffed out by Yharim, and then corrupted by his despair.

Actually he's the one who burned Yharim's family with holy light and underworld lava. Yharim's magic can't touch Providence because they're basically polar opposites to each other.

Providence is the lightest light and Yharim is the darkest dark, both need eachother to keep the world in balance, like Yin and Yang. Not sure if this makes sense to everyone but it does to me.

Yharim didn't have enough power to fully resist Providence long ago, but he still didn't die from his attack. Now Yharim is more powerful and Providence can't even touch him.

When do you think the 1.1.5.08 update is coming out?
Next week?
Month?
Providence the God= 325,000 Health
HOOOOOOLY HECK
[doublepost=1473391904,1473391725][/doublepost]Wait if both Providence and Yharim both need each other to exist, doesn't that mean if Providence dies, Yharim dies.
Just saying.

If both need each other to exist, then when we defeat Providence, why is Yharim still existing by the time we eventually fight him? You should probably make it more like 'Both keep balance with each other', so Yharim is more so powered up a little. It's more clear.
