I do kinda wish he didn't have resistance to some piercing weapons(mainly the more limited ones, like the shadowbeam staff which already looses damage with each pierce it does or some flails which require playing risky to even get good damage off.) but that's just a personal thought.

It's really the only practical/easy way I can make him "uncheeseable". Sorry if it's an inconvenience :(

I might redo the AI for him in the future, all depends on the amount of time I have available.

Fusion Cannon.png
A Post Golem weapon: The Fusion Cannon, which is another magic gun, mediocre speed, but the speed doesn't matter as much here!

You can hold the fire button to charge up 3 shots of these, though even if you just want to shoot repeated bursts of these, they still have minor explosions and already do a ton of damage.

output_ht43iy.gif
If you charge for about 3 seconds, these 3 projectiles become bolts of destruction, that have huge explosions and can Slow enemies, on top of doing much more damage.

Charge it for too long though, and you will start to take damage over time, so the wit-less may end up making themselves explode.

Yeah, I like the idea too :)

Calamity currently has 336 items in my version. Many surprise weapons and all the trophies.

Devourer of Gods piercing resistance will also scale with how much piercing a weapon has in the next update:
  1. Infinite Piercing = Damage / 5
  2. Piercing >= 4 = Damage / 4
  3. Piercing = 3 = Damage / 3
  4. Piercing = 2 = Damage / 2
Ooohh, does that mean there are additional secret items/weapons (that hopefully involve dragons and or Yharon) that no one knows about!?

So that event could possibly be added?:dryadeek:

How fast does that weapon's alt-function fire again? Oh yeah, like once every 5 seconds. That's some stellar DPS right there.

All right, sarcasm aside I can nerf the damage of the giant explosion projectile. Just realize that the massive damage and AoE was intentional.
Really? In my case it fires at the same rate as it's primary fire. 1 nuke every ~1 second (maybe a bug?). I probably should've mentioned this first.

For me it doesn't work that way at all. It fires incredibly quickly for the rapid fire ~75 damage rockets and incredibly slowly for the nuke that does ~750 damage.

I've been thinking about the Helios and Selena mini-boss drops. (Cause ya know, Martian saucer, mothra, etc) and here's what I've come up with.

Staff of the sun. (Summoner)

Summons a sun to fight for you.

Staff of the Moon. (Summoner)

Summons a moon to fight for you.

Sunwove. (Ranger)

A bow crafted by the keepers of the sun and rangers of the light. Shoots 3 arrows at once and causes the Light debuff.

Light debuff - Enemies slowly disintegrate.

Moonlit. (Ranger)

A bow crafted by the keepers of the moon and used by rangers looking for chaos. Shoots 3 arrows at once and causes the Dark debuff.

Dark debuff - Completley poisons, freeze, curse and ichor The enemy.

Yo-Yo of Helios/Selena - Emits a lightning beam when used.

Helios Yo-Yo - More powerful in the day.

Selena Yo-Yo - More powerful in the night.

Please give me some ideas/criticism on these items. These were some ideas that popped in my head since Yharom seems incredibly hard and these weapons could make him a tad easier (however he's still a pain, because he was meant to be that Cx)

They all sound like pretty much the same things, except for different ones to drop.

For the summons, perhaps one being a sentry, having absolute control of about a screens worth of where it is, dealing with things far better with the things there then its counterpart, even with multiple - Up to a certain point in that multiple regard, obviously - While its counterpart has far more area to roam, easier to use.

For the ranged items, one being a gun while the other a bow. Changes being something like "this one fires a lot of powerful shots, hard to control except against big mobs, like bosses, or up close, and relatively slow. So a shotgun, perhaps in bow form or in gun form", and something like "fires lots of attacks fast, rather controlled, if far away from enemies deals way more then equivalent, but if close up the shotgun type thing absolutely destroys it in DPS." Something of that sort.

The yoyos need to be more varied then that. Not saying they shouldn't not have that, just saying they should have more then that. What to have? No idea.

You're also missing out on magic, throwing, and perhaps armor.

Great suggestions! I'll be editing my post tomorrow.

I will replace the moonlit with a gun representing the moon, considering it is a repeat of the sunwove just with a different buff.

With the minions, Perhaps the staff of the sun and moon should be able to combine and create Staff of Time. (I know, the name is terrible.) Basically little celestial stones fighting for you. (Each minions costs 1 slot, might be 2 since Its a combination)

And with your suggestion of the armor. I believe both mini-bosses should drop Sun fragments (Helios) and Moon fragments (Selena). Those fragments would be used with luminite bars and other fragments (such as solar fragments for Melee armor). Sun armor would have a set bonus of a life regeneration buff in the day. Same as the moon set in the night. (This is mainly for all types of armor, nothing specific like magic moon or ranger moon armor).

As for your sentry, (because there really aren't that many senteys) I was thinking the sun sentry acts like a lunar portal. And the moon sentry acts like a rainbow crystal.

As I said, I will edit tomorrow.

I was saying one is a sentry, with complete control, sort of, over the area it is in, while the other is a regular minion, wandering around with, wrecking some havoc.

Sounds like a bit to much for just mini bosses. A full boss? Sure, makes sense, fits in nicely. A mini boss? Let's see, what, 10 different armors for the two of them combined? Way to much work. Also, towards the fragments, just make those craft all their stuff. Simple stuff.

Another thing I though of after is an accessory for each of them. What would they do? Who knows.

There will only be 2 armor sets, Sun and Moon. Each containing their fragments and luminite bars. Set bonus is the same.

Helios will be able to drop the sun sentry. Basically a sun that emits light and shoots a huge beam. (Bigger then the portal). And Selena will be able to drop her Moon minion. Which act as the deadly spheres.

Helios's Yo-Yo shoots a small lightning beam everytime it's used. Selena's Yo-Yo will be able to shoot out little stars (Like the terrarian).

As for magic items. The moon scepter is a projectile star that homes in on enemy's
(Explodes on impact)

The Sunnine is a spell book that's acts like the razorblade typhoon (as its speed and projectile, it does not home however!)

And for accessories,

Bright shard - Has a chance to reflect attacks.

Dark shard - inflicts debuffs onto an enemy when hit.

Combined = Eclipse stone.

Both effects into one.

By the way, if anyone's thinks I'm DEMANDING for this to happen, it's only a mere suggestion cx. It's base day on the community/developer to decide.

What's the crafting for that?

It's not added in yet, but I would have it made with an Oryx Blaster, a Charged Blaster Cannon (the weapon is Post-Golem), and perhaps Cores of Cinders.

Anyway, doesn't look like next playthrough is going to be the Calamity-only playthrough (we need time to create the other bosses anyway), but I've already made a new summoner weapon anyway.

One of the most exotic blades ever, this blade is meant to be held by those whose hearts are full of apathy and selfishness. You don't need to be a Trump supporter though.

When blood is drawn, your heart turns into a murderous snake that seeks to eat at the hearts of your enemies. Stems from you and lasts until a few seconds after no one hits at each other.

Is there any way you can reduce the particle emissions? A lot of this is really unnecessary and just drags down computers. I know you say this mod was not made with multiplayer in mind, but it works fairly well aside from some really glitchy bosses. But the particle emissions can just kill a frame rate dead. When your various sprayer weapons have a small stream of a hitbox and the particles are four times the size of that, you're overdoing it.

Tempted to say, "if it doesn't lag on my computer then oh well." Which it doesn't, my PC doesn't lag at ALL with the current effects.

The bosses will be fixed for multiplayer, but not now as I don't have enough time to diagnose the issues.

The Perforators are really buggy for me. After I kill the first worm, the others disappear (and despawn) a couple seconds afterward.

EDIT: I'm in single player if that helps.

That shouldn't be happening. I've never had that happen but I'll try to look into it.
