From what I see so far, a great many people are frightened about the NDA. It's totally understandable if you've never signed one before, but it's not necessarily a hard thing to follow. Basically an abridged, personal view of the process:

1. It is indeed a very serious document you need to sign, that is undisputed. However, it is also something we use to keep Re-logic integrity in check, so as to make proper planned decisions and forewarning of future activities and discussion.

2. It's not a hard concept to follow (imo). If you are discussing information privy amongst yourself and other users under the NDA, you don't have a need to share it anywhere else. Information made for you and the groups eyes is made only for you. Simple as that. It doesn't need to go on Steam, it doesn't need to go on Skype, it doesn't need to go anywhere else. Keep it where it is discussed amongst your peers.

3. If you are consciously aware of what you post, and think about what the ramifications are of those posts beforehand, you will be okay as long as you are making a clear and thought out plan when you do so.

Moderators for this community enforce the rules established for this forum by Re-Logic, a link is in my signature. We also do "house keeping" things such as moving threads to the proper areas, changing titles of threads, editing polls, approving/denying name changes and, locking and/or redirecting duplicate topics.
 
I tried my best to understand what a Moderator is with my easy-to-digest acronym. (Heck, it might become official...naahhh)

M - Make yourself respectable by being mature.
O - Open yourself up to whatever comes your way.
D - Don't be afraid to stop anything that is violating the guidelines.
E - Evaluate any situatation people throw at you.
R - Respect the community as they would respect you.
A - Assess conflicts in a calm, open - minded, civil manner.
T - Treat your authority with respect, and do what they say; they know what they're doing.
O - Organize the posts made by users. Keep threads in their proper places.
R - Recognize that none of us are perfect, and we all make mistakes sometimes. If we ever fall, get up and keep going.

So will there be a post about the closing of TerrariaOnline? It was a great community and most probably helped contribute to this one. I just think it deserves some sort of mention before it's gone for good...
 
I've been around since 1.0.6, applied to every application opening periods and still nothing. Well, sure I could devote more time to the forums, but I spent way too much time on TO than I should have so I feel I've overdone it. I would apply, but I don't play Terraria on the mobile, I do own it, so keeping those forums in line would be hard, not that it's not easy as it's just moderating and not trying to fulfill everyone's needs. Also I live in EST so 1-6 is kind early and not worth me staying online considering my job has me scheduled for 6 am some days.

Also, jokes and stuff aside, I guess I should just mention how I'm not even bothering to apply for obvious reasons

beats me...maybe when their mind wanders and creates a chain of thoughts relating to the last in some remote way that....hey, did you know about this awesome item known as boreal wood wall? I have tons of it! The item sprite looks super cool in 1.3.1!
