Suddenly, I can no longer create metal armor in my new world nor can I forge ore into bars. I was able to create until just recently. Only major event was that I defeated the Eye of Cthulhu in this world and got demonite ore and then forged it into bars. I still have all the crafting stations and ingredients. Also cannot create several other items such as glass kiln.
I can, however, do all of this if I go to one of my older worlds.
