Blocks & Decoration Can the mannequin/womannequin have 7 accessory slots to match Master Mode?

Would it be possible for the mannequin and womannequin to gain two extra vanity and dye slots to match? The current set-up works fine for Classic Mode, but if you're playing on Expert or Master Mode (with an extra 1 or 2 useable accessory slots, respectively), and you wish to dress up a mannequin/womannequin with your entire load-out at the end of a playthrough (for example), this is currently not possible on these latter difficulties. :)

Yknow, I never thought of that.

Good addition idea!

Sounds like a worthy addition to me! Thought would equipping a mannequin with a crescent charm+ turn it into a werewolf? It should

Good catch. I like it!

I think it should have 7 slots on all difficulties
Not really a need to nerf a mannequin

Why would it need extra on classic though, that allows it to be used as storage

Why would it need extra on classic though
Why would the extra slots need to be excluded on classic
It's only decoration and serves no purpose other than to be looked at

Because classic only has what 5 accessory slots? there is no need of 7, but I'm okay with them having more on the higher difficulties with those extra slots.

And there's no need to not have 7 either
Making the UI change depending on the difficulty is unnecessary work for the devs when it can just have 7 slots on all difficulties
Letting mannequins have 7 slots on Classic isn't going to break the game's balance

imma just... put this here...

i don't see why not
and yeah as zyraphim said, it'd be easiest to just have 7 accessory slots across all difficulties.
why? classic only has 5 slots, so that is how many it should have. This post is suggesting that on higher difficulties it should have more slots, which I agree with, but this should NOT affect classic too. Why would it need any more than the 5 slots we already have?

Mannequins are vanity focused! The number of slots should be the maximum number the player can have. No need to limit what kind of look a mannequin can have.

Pretty much what Sammich said, but also; Why should they not have the extra two slots across all difficulties? They only cost barely less than a chest and for much less space, and for more specific things. There's no reason not to add the extra two slots across all difficulties.
if it helps, think about it the other way around. 5 is what they currently have, and that is how it should stay in classic where there are only 5 accessory slots. Now, for other difficulties with an increased amount of slots, I'm fine with the mannikin also having increased slots.

But why should it stay 5? It would take more effort to make it 5 on Classic worlds, and I seriously doubt people will be breaking the game with 2 extra accessory slots on mannequins.

Mannequins cost like, four times as much wood as chests, take up more room, and even with ten specific slots plus dyes, can hold much less items.
The one.
ONE.
One advantage they have over chests is that you don't need a few iron bars to craft them.
But those are easy to obtain, and dozens of chests spawn naturally in the world anyway.
There is no way this would possibly impact game balance.

I actually kind of understand where @Aceplante is coming from. The storage thing is a nonissue (for the reasons other people have brought up), but it would be weird if a classic character only had 5 vanity slots while a Mannequin had 7. It could cause some confusion for new players and it would highlight how classic characters have less vanity options.

I think the best solution is to give all characters 7 vanity slots and give Mannequins 7 slots. The 6th and 7th functional slots would still unlock in Expert Mode and Master Mode respectively.

Bump to this because I'd love to use Mannequins to save and display loadouts through game progression and not just storing them in a chest. It's such a bummer you can only do this on Classic or Expert pre-HM and not Expert HM or Master Mode.

was not expecting to get a notif from this thread, but my now-deleted standing has not changed. this is a great idea and should have 7 slots across all difficulties to diversify decoration potential

Bro I wish mannequins could hold weapons so badly
