NPCs & Enemies Can we make Santa Claus NPC stay permanently?

I'm so sick of waiting every year for Santa Claus to appear again and then disappear. Can we have him stay permanently once you get him? As someone who likes fully collecting stuff in game, this has always bothered me Thank You!

Even better tie him to the frost moon event clearance and let Halloween stuff trigger based off of progression in the pumpkin moon

You dont have to wait an entire year. You can just get to wave 15 of Frost Moon and you will have him for the whole day, which allows you do get everything you need from him.
And Santa moving only on christmas is kinda his whole point and should be treated more like a Travelling Merchant than a normal NPC.
